nataliejost Almost there! I swear, sleeves always seem to take the longest. Partly because I need longer sleeves and mostly because I just want to wear it already! #agnessweater 4d

nataliejost Working the #agnessweater for a tall size as I go. My favorite thing about making my own things is the perfect custom fit. This pattern is designed for petite girls, which puts the pockets just under my bra line. 😟 I prefer them at my waist. Thanks @quinceandco for a beautiful sweater. Only a couple of changes make it just right for me. #knittingpatterns #knitfortall #knittersofinstagram #knitlife #handmadeclothing #knitsweater #customknit // ps. You may also notice the 3-1 rib instead of 2-2 (I like a bigger K-P ratio in my ribs). This also makes the initial increases cleaner, blending them into the purl stitches. 5d
  •   greg606 Right but any stylus? 5d
  •   nataliejost Oh! Sorry @greg606 I do sometimes. Adonit jot I think? 5d
  •   knitgraffiti Lovely mods!! Thank you for sharing! 5d
  •   miragdesigns Where can I get the pattern? 5d
  •   nataliejost @miragdesigns go to ravelry.com and search Agnes sweater. It's by quince & co. 5d
  •   miragdesigns Thank you 5d
  •   laughterinquilts How many inches did you add before side increases? Love the color 5h
  •   nataliejost @laughterinquilts I did just an extra inch (6" instead of 5"), then round and round until I reached a good length to start the pockets. I tend to space everything out a bit more too, so the increases were every 10 rows instead of 8. 2h

nataliejost Using cheesecloth squares for coffee filters. It came to me one day when a recipe called for straining with cheesecloth. It only made sense it would work for coffee too. 2w
  •   jaffreyrose Nice :) I've tried that before but too many grounds went through! Maybe mine was more loosely woven... 2w
  •   mikkywilliams I use paper towels when I run out! 2w
  •   nataliejost @mikkywilliams I did that but used way too many paper towels. This has been great for me, and less trash too. 2w
  •   nataliejost @jaffreyrose oh I should probably clarify, this little one cup machine has a cup inside that catches grounds. I bet this wouldn't work on a bigger one. :( 2w

nataliejost Since I was first in my own and trying to cook, my worst enemy has been hard-cooked eggs. I can never get it right. But I think I finally have it now. At least, it has produced edible eggs the last five times I've made them. In case it all depends on my kitchen situation, what's yours and what works for you? Do you fear the hard eggs as much as I do? How do you cope? Have you ever bought them precooked in a bag (they sell them now)? // Here's what's working for me: place 8 eggs in a medium pot / cover with water, add a dash of salt, and bring to a boil / remove from heat, cover and let stand ••25 minutes•• / immediately immerse eggs gently into a bowl of ice water / peel after 2-3 minutes cooling. 2w
  •   heartlikeminerunsonwine My favorite way is muffin tin in oven for 25 minutes at 325 degrees. Easy! never bought them already....although it has crossed my mind 2w
  •   marykittenkat My method: boil water first. While the water is boiling let the eggs Come to room temperature. Add the eggs once the water is boiling. I have only ever done 2 eggs at once, so my method for that is 10 minutes in the boiling water then remove into a bowl of ice water and let cool. I'm assuming that the more eggs you put in the pot, the longer the boil time. Hope that helps 🏼 2w
  •   benziedesign I have a terrible time boiling eggs!!! It's kind of my secret failure in life, haha! So, um, I just started buying them!!! My mom always said the trick is to use 'old' eggs -fresh ones just don't peel right... 2w
  •   mikkywilliams I follow the recipe in Better Homes and Gardens cookbook and set a timer so I follow the recipe exactly. If I follow it exactly, they are perfect every time. If not-yuck!! 2w
  •   nataliejost @heartlikeminerunsonwine I forgot about that tip, thank you! I've been wanting to try it. Do you cool them in ice bath still or just set out to cool? 2w

nataliejost Teaching the twins how to make applesauce. We leave the skins on. Partly for the flavor and partly because I'm lazy. I mean efficient. 2w
