nanakkim Tantanmen; chicken garlic and chives dumplings, vinegar sesame soy dipping sauce. Well I've been buying prepackaged ramen noodle from Yamachan and today decided to give Sun Noodle a try since I've heard good things about its NYC shop Ramen Lab. Turned out Sun Noodle's tantanmen is overly salty and noodle texture is not chewy at all but this weird... sticking-together texture. That level of saltiness can be diluted with water to make enough 2 bowls. Anyway, the highlight of tonight is the homemade chicken dumplings! I never knew that making dumplings is this easy, especially with pre-made wonton wrappers. Even easier than Vietnamese spring rolls-chả giò! Just chop some meat and chives, wrap it up with the wrapper, boil 'em and TADA! Definitely can make a big batch and store them in the freezer. The tangy soy vinegar sesame dipping sauce complement these dumplings so well. Also, made some spicy crunchy marinated beansprouts for side dish. Dinner could have been perfect without the salty ramen noodle soup 3w
