mynamesdonny I spent my first several years of photography trying to do everything I could to make an image look like anything except what was originally captured by the camera. Throwing layers upon layers to try and make something I thought was interesting. I switched to film to get away from that, because I wanted to make images that were real. It still, at times, makes me feel naked. But i haven't regretted it for one second. And if I want to make images that look like the ones I made back then, all I have to do is pick up a crappy old plastic camera and see what happens! #statefilmstories 4d

mynamesdonny I know I said I was gonna start a different account for my cemetery work, but I kinda have a problem with procrastinating. Speaking of procrastinating, I shot this sometime over the "winter" and just finally developed it. It's full of flaws, and I love it for that. 5d

mynamesdonny Sometimes I take a photo that I fall in love with, usually those end up being random snapshots of my family around the house. This...Is one of those. 3w

mynamesdonny For Father's Day my kids got me one of those Lomo build your own camera things. So I went out with them for a little photowalk on Saturday, to give it spin. 1mon

mynamesdonny I'm not sure what happened here, but I do love the unpredictable nature of shooting old cameras. I'm guessing that it's one of the shutter curtains on my OM1 staying open too long? I mean, if it was light leaks there would be color, right? Anyway, I still dig this. 2mon

mynamesdonny It's been a while since I've posted a cemetery photo. I think I'm going to start a separate account for sharing that work, trying to compartmentalize things as I head into more work for people other than myself. Keeping this account for people, weddings, landscapes, etc...and that one for cemeteries. I will always shoot cemeteries. I love them and love photographing them. I have so much of that work that I've never shared. I think it would be cool for those photos to have their own place on here. 2mon

mynamesdonny Back in February I had a model no show on me for a shoot, so I went ahead and spent the time burning a roll of Portra in this area of urban decay awesomeness. I FINALLY got that roll developed. Thanks so much to @statefilm for the wicked fast scans! 2mon

mynamesdonny Gave the F100 a test run at the farmers market today. Very...Strange. It's been so long since I've shot something with auto anything. 2mon
