mybricole done - I ended up cutting off the edges because the polyester hexies were just that much too big that they ruffled when I tried to flatten the edges. 3h

mybricole Most days, autism and I manage to coexist peacefully here in the cottage. Today, however, I would like to kindly ask it to get the F out of here. If you need me, I will be here, stitching patchwork together in an effort to pretend that everything if just fine. 2d

mybricole utilitarian sewing happening here - making pillow cases for the dreampad. (It is a tool to help calm sensory issues and attention problems) fingers crossed for success! 2w
  •   heyporkchop Totally crossing my fingers! I've almost bought one at least a dozen times, I keep hoping someone I know in real life would get one so I could hear how they liked it! 2w
  •   mybricole @heyporkchop we used the iLs system headset program a couple of years ago and we were happy with it. I'm in the process of upgrading his system to the teen/adult attention program. I'm anxious to try the dreampad myself too. It's pretty awesome. 2w
  •   heyporkchop Awesome!!!!! That's the best!!!!! Are you nervous switching him up to the teen/adult program? Is it a huge difference? 2w
  •   mybricole @heyporkchop a little bit just because when he first started the system there was a period of what they term "disorganization" which basically meant his system was trying to process the changes but it made him super frantic with constant chatter and lots if disagreeing with everything I said. Then after that he really settled down. 2w

mybricole @aneelahoey this is my new hosta. It's 1/4 of a plant from my mom's garden. It will be huge! 2w
  •   aneelahoey Looking huge already! I need to try hosta's are they easy? 2w
  •   mybricole @aneelahoey so easy! You stick them in the ground and they grow. It's my kind of plant. Plus they come in all sorts of shades from lights to darks. 2w
  •   aneelahoey That is my kind of gardening! No green fingered murdering involved Those leaves are striking! 2w
  •   holly_inez So pretty! 2w
  •   wmoetken Hostas are my favorite plant. They are so easy and make a big impact. 1w

mybricole @aneelahoey I bet it's a sun issue. Our yard is shady so we don't get much bloom. When we moved here 8 years ago, there was one of these tiny plants popping up through the stone walk. We moved it and now it's spread all over the place. I'm a notorious plant killer. I can grow hostas and herbs. I love these mixed with the hostas. 2w
  •   arajaneo I love heuchera. Such great color. 2w
  •   aneelahoey I guess it is down to the shade, ours is in full sun and we've non stop sunshine so far this summer ️P.S. I'm a notorious plant killer too.. 2w
  •   mybricole @aneelahoey Is it legal to have non stop sun in England? ;) 2w
  •   aneelahoey It is certainly unusual, pretty sure it's possibly illegal too. I'm not telling anyone except you.. 2w
  •   mybricole @aneelahoey lol! Your secret is safe with me! 2w
