mssherryblossom My abs are really sore. I attempted to work out today and the sharp pain caused me to stop. I wanted to keep going. My body said rest. Don't beat yourself up when you know you give 100% and that you ARE willing/ready and actively doing your part!
listen to your body. Rest days are for those who've earned it and they are nothing to be ashamed of. I've been attacking my abs, GLUTES, quads, hamstrings like I've never done before so my body needs recovery time. Yesterday although I didn't complete as many sets as normal I did work out. Today I couldn't finish my workout but I STILL are clean! As long as you TRY and make a true effort you can be PROUD!
You can do this! LETS GO!

  •   mssherryblossom You have to complete a mile and a half run in 11 mins... You have to be able to walk on the stair master for 3 mins with a 50lb weight (I believe not sure if the time or weight has increased)... I'd say run the track. Do lots of cardio (builds endurance and cardiovascular health) and strength train. Especially upper body you'll be carrying your other classmates up and down stairs on the equipment in the academy @foreverjennyxoxo and just BELIEVE that you will pass! I'm sure you will! mssherryblossom This will help you with your clean eating journey. Depending on what I'm doing will depend on how I switch this up. It's usually 1/2 protein or 1/2 starch because I strength train/weight lift so much and I need the carbs and protein pre and post workout. After a night of drinking though my plate looks more like 1/2-3/4 veggies and 1/2 protein...sometimes I skip the starch altogether!

This is also how I decide what I will meal prep next. I pick a protein, starch and vegetable(s)! Simple as that!

You can do it! Also you do NOT have to eat everything from off your plate ESPECIALLY when eating out. You can even request substitutes or for things to be removed from your order altogether. I love a good burger and if the restaurant doesn't have a sweet potato fry option then I simply ask that they just remove the fries that come with my burger altogether and to hold the bun or place my burger on a bed of lettuce or mixed greens. They usually HAPPILY oblige!

mssherryblossom LEFT: All cardio workouts! I ran the track up to 5x a week. I ate "healthy" but still mainly processed foods. SKINNY FAT for real! GLUTES were FLAT as heck! Went from back to GLUTES to thighs! SpongeBob squareish!

RIGHT: I eat clean and train dirty MOST OF THE TIME! My "cheats" are alcoholic drinks 2-4 weekends a month! I am approximately the SAME WEIGHT in both pictures 140-150ish (haven't weighed myself in a long time!) THAT ARCH is serious! Praise Him! _________________

You have to WORK for the body that you want and it's NOT easy! My GLUTES when I first started #eatcleantraindirtywithsherry measured 44in! That was because it was mostly FAT! Too many of us running around thinking we have a large behind when in fact it's mostly unnecessary body fat!Once I began training and eating clean it dropped to a 38.75in! I PUT IN WORK to maintain it where it's at now (39.75in)and I'm fighting like HELL to build this muscle larger! So please don't think it's easy for me! It's not! If I didn't train dirty I'm certain my GLUTES would whither away _____________________

I don't have much space so I place my cooked food in large Tupperware as oppose to individual containers. I place them in small serving containers when I am taking food to work. (I made so much pasta I just kept it in the pot/I am tired and too lazy to divide it up into containers tonight)

I'll admit. I did the first 3 reps and stopped. I sat down. My mind said "I don't feel like being tired". My conscience said "you will regret not completing the reps and sets Sherry! You are stronger than your biggest excuse!" ________________________

Well I got up after 5 mins of internal debate and went in! Then my body realized it was doing dreaded cardio and I did 2.5 of the 3 instructed sets!!! ______________

I sat down and reread what I had typed and realized "I hate cardio" is an excuse! So I got BACK UP and finished the last half set! OMG! This challenge is DIFFICULT! I will have to remember my words more than I ever have had to before "You are stronger than your biggest excuse!" LET'S GO!!!!
