mollysmaison I did some mantelscaping today. The artwork was done by moi when I was 16. A combo of acrylic, watercolour, pencil and pen (with a bit of lace glued on). All these years on I still like it, even if it's a little wonky :) 7h

mollysmaison Another beauty from my recently gifted box of treasures. Believed to have been carried by the bridesmaid of my aunt's late husband's mother. What a mouthful! It's just so beautiful! 3d

mollysmaison Tunnels of colour - the last one, I promise! This was the most beautiful green but my camera struggled to recognise it. I love the puckers in the side of the tunnel here, a bit like being in a big wave.

  •   mollysmaison @sashajoubert thank you I'm pleased with these shots :) 1w
  •   maxseeeen Your shots of the excellent-polis turned out a treat! 1w
  •   mollysmaison @maxseeeen thanks so much Max! I have to admit I was quite chuffed. I used my dslr and mucked around with aperture priority and full manual settings. The camera really didn't like the green areas. Totally washed them out. Did you find that? I have a couple more to post tomorrow :) 1w
  •   mollysmaison @maxseeeen ps was quite the effort dodging all the whipper snappers screaming around me. How I managed some shots without kids I don't know! 1w
  •   maxseeeen I only took my iPhone 5s in and after half an hour the camera started to struggle with the green (so did my retina's actually - funny that!). Everything was ok once removed from the psychedelic bubble though! ...Sounds like it was busy times in there! I had a few kid's photo bomb some shots, flippin' rascals! I had my 14y/o with me and she was like, "Oh maaah Godd mum! I'm neverrr having kid's!!" 1w
  •   stephlomay Glad you made it down Sar. Hope you're feeling all better now. 1w

mollysmaison A close up of yesterday's vintage wedding cake decoration.
A little silver shoe, flowers and what looks like an angel or Cupid?

mollysmaison Another item from my box of treasure - the wedding cake decoration from the mother of my aunt's late husband. I'm not sure what to do with it? There's remnants of icing stuck to a pretty silver shoe and other paper bits. Maybe I need to deconstruct and save the pretty bits? 2w
  •   wendyofappletreefarm Make a shadow box to display it all 2w
  •   craftyrie What about getting an old printers tray & popping them into the individual sections then get a sheet of glass to cover it, put legs on & voila a very cute coffee table. 2w
  •   mollysmaison @wendyofappletreefarm my aunt thought it wasn't good enough to keep but I think I can make use of it ;) 2w
  •   mollysmaison @racwell Yes. I've got a few other nice bits to post x 2w
  •   mollysmaison @craftyrie that's a great idea. I have a printers tray they I was going to hang on the wall. The sections would be a great way of displaying these little treasures :) 2w
