mollysmaison Another new public artwork in Criterion St, Hobart. This one by Stormie Mills @stormiemills Just fabulous! 20min
  •   stephlomay They're fabulous aren't they. Can't believe they've been vandalised with stupid tags! 17min
  •   mollysmaison @stephlomay agreed, they're excellent. But those douchebag taffeta! You'd think they'd appreciate good street art, but apparently not 15min
  •   mollysmaison @stephlomay not tafetta! I think I meant to type "twerps"! 14min

mollysmaison I'm not a fan of selfies but have had to take some as part of a uni class I have been doing. I took this one in the Ian Potter gallery in melbs late last year. Yes, I really should have put down my bags and stood up a bit straighter! Unfortunately didn't get the name of the artwork/artist. 1w

mollysmaison The old shearing shed at Woolmers. It was such a hot day! I was sweltering. I'd like to go back for another look, maybe when it's a bit cooler :) 2w

mollysmaison I felt as dried out and hot as this artichoke yesterday. This pic was taken at Woolmers last week. Such great textures.
So pleased it's much cooler in Hobart today!
3w
  •   pottersarms A beautiful shot @mollysmaison It's just cooling off here, that awful blanket of heat is no more....for now anyway. 3w
  •   petiteharvest Gorgeous. Much cooler here today 3w
  •   sashajoubert Stunning 3w
  •   homelyoneamanda You must be getting our heat from last week... 3w
  •   sd_shereedornan Can't image Hobart that hot! Glad it's cooler for you now. We're expecting 38 and humid today !! I can't cope with humidity .. Dry heat I can handle .. But only in short bursts. 3w
  •   mollysmaison @sd_shereedornan I read the other day that high 20's here is the equivalent to high 30's in WA due to the difference in humidity. We never get a chance to get used to it! The day following last Wednesday's 30 something degrees it dropped to about 17! Xx 3w
  •   sd_shereedornan Yes humidity makes it feel 10 degrees hotter. We have had a very humid summer this year when it's 41 and humid it's unbearable!! 3w
  •   chriskerruish Wow 3w

mollysmaison Hmmph, back to work today and it's going to be hot (and I have to hang an exhibition of beanies).
This lovely lily was in the pond at the Woolmers Estate National Rose Garden where @stephlomay and I visited last week on our road trip. Was fabulous, but also very very hot! #woolmers

  •   mollysmaison Thanks @chriskerruish It's a touring show from the Alice Springs Beanie Festival. At least it will be easy to hang so as to ease me back in gently. At least I hope so! 3w
  •   mollysmaison @lillidaisy trust me, I will. Not looking forward to the jammed email inbox x 3w
  •   _mrs_muller_ Hope your first day isn't too hard on you 3w
  •   stephlomay Lovely. Hope day one goes OK! 3w
  •   mollysmaison @stephlomay thank you. Now don't you have too much fun! Keep cool x 3w
  •   mollysmaison @_mrs_muller_ thank you, I hope so too :) 3w
  •   stephlomay I've told the girls to stop me buying things & all I'm looking for is a jacket like that one I tried on in Lonnie - and maybe a new pair of jeans...and a nice leather bag... 3w
  •   winnies_wonderland Beautiful capture 2w

mollysmaison "What a great garden Mumma, can we grow a bone garden too?"
Molly and I both love this garden in our neighbourhood. It's so quirky!

  •   lazydesigner Tasmania is a strange place. I think i'd love it. 4w
  •   mollysmaison @lazydesigner it's very diverse Bobbi- forest, mountains, cities etc all within a short drive of each other. Not to mention all those amazing beaches.... 4w
  •   chriskerruish I thought that must have been a doggy Christmas tree. 4w
  •   mollysmaison @chriskerruish it's been like it in different forms for the longest time. Funny button grass and quirky bits hanging from a small dead tree. I'm wondering what will happen when the little tree falls down. I find it really refreshing :) 4w

mollysmaison It was a bit wild this evening at Howrah beach. Not many people, I think they're all at the nearby cricket. Molly still had fun and I enjoyed the brisk wind and wavy view over to Mt Wellington.

mollysmaison A lovely vignette from the upstairs space at Julie's store @theblackhen taken the other day on my fun day trip with bestie @stephlomay 4w
  •   huntseek Took me ages to realise Julie's mum was pottersarms Check out @allitera_ she has just moved your way and I think you might have somethings in common 4w
  •   mollysmaison @theblackhen thank you. Given it was taken on my old blurry phone I think it's ok too ! Still thinking what a nice design/seeing studio your attic would make :) 4w
  •   theblackhen I know 4w
  •   mollysmaison @huntseek yes I have a useless memory. They do say us Tasmanians are all related. Thank you I will check out that link :) 4w
  •   huntseek Haha, I wasn't going to say that @mollysmaison But there is quite a creative network it seems 4w
  •   mollysmaison @huntseek yes a good, supportive network of creatives. It's great :) 4w

mollysmaison I had a lovely girls day out with @stephlomay on Thursday. We drove up to Deloraine to visit the lovely store @theblackhen and meet Julie who was kind enough to let us snoop about upstairs in her studio space. Just stunning. This lovely piece of calligraphy looked familiar @marleyandlockyer :) 4w

mollysmaison Pretties on my mantel. The rose grew from a cutting from my late great auntie ila's garden. I think it's Pascali. 1mon
  •   mollysmaison @huntseek thanks Lesley. I'm always a blue girl with a dash of green but a friend gifted me the yellow spotty vase and I liked how fresh it looked with my other bits :) 1mon
  •   catandthebird Beautiful colours - I always love your mantel arrangements 1mon
  •   lillidaisy Isn't that great that you've got the rose growing, lovely colour combo x 1mon

  •   mollysmaison @katya_d thanks, I think I have a bit of a green thumb, though I'm useless with basil and coriander. Can't grow them! 4w
  •   katya_d My coriander *always* goes to seed! 4w

mollysmaison The incredibly tall mast of Comanche, line honours winner of the Sydney to Hobart yacht race. Taken 2 evenings ago. What a stunning blue sky. No need for filter! 1mon
  •   annetics_ This is fabulous! 🏼🏼🏼 HNY @mollysmaison 1mon
  •   e_a_munro My father and brother sailed in the Brisbane to Gladstone many moons ago... Was breathtaking watching the start and hoping there was enough wind for the need of spinnakers... They always look so graceful! 1mon

mollysmaison I took this image this morning whilst mum and I were having a squiz at the Sydney to Hobart yacht race boats. Look right at the top, there's a man attending to some maintenance. One day I'd love a sail on one of these amazing yachts. 1mon
