missturman Me, making a plan.

Several years ago when I homeschooled Tiny Smalls, we made the door to our apartment a giant chalk board. Now, I get to use it for me—if I ask nicely.

I am at a bit of a crossroads and need to figure out the direction I want to head in. It's important that I go with what pulls me (several things!), but also that I align my skills and interests in a way that are profitable and productive in that they serve a greater good.

I am thinking about the broader community that I am accountable to outside of myself and my immediate family and how I can best serve/engage them without falling into the trap of the bottom line.
Another part of this is overcoming the fear that I have been socialized into and just going for it. I have been lucky in that over the last few years I have seen/experienced great leadership, as well as leadership that left A LOT to be desired so I have models on both ends of the spectrum.

What I do know, as of now, is that there is a path that I can take, one that feels right and wherever it ends will be ok. #musing #lifeplan

missturman I loved this microscope. It came with fixed/non-fixed slides. I would go get leaves, the occasional bug, boogers (ha!), dust, etc. and look at under the microscope. My mom is not really big on saving things. but this, my trophies, and my red satin letter jacket have all been kept in the basement. 1w

missturman How I spent my afternoon. I was in charge of burgers (beef and turkey) and hot dogs. Who would have thought that hot wings on the grill would taste so awesome?! #funtimes #aieshalovesthekids 2w
