misstripp I thought being a full time artist was a fast way to ruin the fun, but I've had to be away from my paints for 4 days and it has been full-on SHIT. 3d

misstripp The minimum order was four times the number I needed. 4d
  •   despise_everything @laura_keeble I think sometimes the problem is these great ideas come to me with such apparent ease that the casual onlooker fails to appreciate just how fucking great I am . I guess all I can hope is that the recognition I deserve will come posthumously. X 4d
  •   hold_the_phone @misstripp i'm after one for a polly Morgan sculpture if you want rid of one? 4d
  •   mynamesmike I think it was a good idea too @despise_everything 4d
  •   laura_keeble @despise_everything it must be incredibly frustration to know this and be aware of how limited the casual onlooker is. I do hope that you can have a little comfort in that if nothing else I will personally engrave a bench plaque for your genius ( or a bench) X 3d
  •   laura_keeble @misstripp you have the perfect set up here for 'The museum of the imagination!!' 3d
  •   despise_everything @laura_keeble that does lift me spirits somewhat, thanks . All I ask is that the horizontal of the bench be covered in cement and inset with broken bottles, to deter passing no-marks from sitting upon my very memory . X 3d
  •   misstripp @despise_everything it's a great idea. Except I like the idea of them floating in jars more. *orders jars* 3d
  •   laura_keeble @despise_everything consider it my personal mission.X 3d

misstripp Repost from @goldmark_atelier 'Detail from the Candice Tripp etching we produced at the end of last year' 4d
  •   teresa_duck_art Lush! As in the 'that's lush' not the 2litre bottle of cider from the tesco express kind. X 4d
  •   mynamesmike There's a cider named lush? @teresa_duck_art 4d
  •   teresa_duck_art @mynamesmike Nooooooooooo. But if there was.. I'd probs buy it. 4d
  •   misstripp @teresa_duck_art @mynamesmike I wish they'd make a ready-mixed gin and tonic called "Areet" 4d
  •   teresa_duck_art If we're doing requests. I'd like a chaser called 'No thanks pet I wouldn't touch you with a barge pole' Think how much time that would save. Plus you still get a free drink. Win.Win. 4d
  •   mynamesmike I prefer beer. I just do. I am very traditional in thay respect. @teresa_duck_art @misstripp as a bonus, beer is available with many good names. And some shit ones such as Fosters or Bud. 4d
  •   teresa_duck_art I'd just like an occasional drink to be honest, any drink! @mynamesmike @misstripp unfortunately, at the moment between work and looking after a small person, the closest we get to recreational poison is coffee and the odd bar of Green&Blacks. 4d

misstripp The OST pairs so nicely with my walk home through the suburbs. 7d
  •   misstripp @santanasmile it's basically saving me from overdoing Beyond the Black Rainbow and Under the Skin. 7d
  •   misstripp @teresa_duck_art I want to hear more about the uti 7d
  •   mynamesmike I am still very, very cross indeed at the lack of distribution for maniac after spence got me all hyped for it a year before it's release . Have you seen Things We Do In The Shadows? Its quite fantastic. Under The Skin is magnificent and also has the best soundtrack for a very , very long time.. 7d
  •   misstripp @mynamesmike me too! I was really looking forward to both of those. I fell asleep during What We Do In The Shadows (the shame) only due to jet lag. I loved what I saw. I have to pick it up again. I think Under The Skin is my favourite soundtrack of All Time. 7d
  •   mynamesmike It's my favourite soundtrack too I think. Even after spencer told me I was wrong to say it was the best thing in an age. It's perfectly evocative of the alien imagery and also, unlike many soundtracks, works just as perfectly without the images. Shadows is very good so you should probably rush right off and watch that right away. 7d
  •   teresa_duck_art I can't remember what the uti near miss movie was called. It involved first born children and scary fuckers at the bottom of the bed in the middle of the night. Your usual 'oh my fucking god, oh my fucking god!!' scenario. My arms stuck beneath a small child at present so I can't check but I think it's on The lovefilmnetflix it was nothing to write home about but it scared the living crap out of me for some reason. I was a bit disappointed with under the skin. I might have built it up too much though. Apparently the book is fantastic. Maybe I just need to watch it again. I've heard the Babadook is really good but I've genuinely been too pussy to watch it yet! 7d
  •   teresa_duck_art I'll have a look when I get a moment. I had a bloody awful lucid dream as a kid that involved a similar scenario. I used to get them quite a lot, along with sleep walking but I seem to have grown out of them. (I'm still really bloody scared of sleep walking though!) I think its hereditary, my brother used to get terrible sleep paralysis so I'm not sure if the movie was actually any good or just playing on my already horrified subconscious! 7d
  •   santanasmile I just can't handle how perfect it is @misstripp 7d

misstripp Me: keeping the pre-show vomit down by refusing to stand up. Mom: keeping the pre-train boring away by playing air guitar on the platform. 2012. 2w
  •   brad615 What was she playing? 2w
  •   gabriellala 2w
  •   laura_keeble Your over the yellow line.. It's dangerously close.. I'm concerned.. Hope you didn't run on the platform either!!!! 2w
  •   misstripp @laura_keeble I know, irresponsible. It was the overriding fear that made me reckless 7d
  •   misstripp @brad615 probably the Black Keys, ha ha 7d
  •   laura_keeble @misstripp yes.. Craziness and so near the mind the gap sign too! You look very relaxed on fear mind.. Also @lizabee42 looks like a super cool Mum ( if not a bit reckless with the air guitar and potential hazard of a mid song starjump near 'the gap'!) x 7d

misstripp Some artists have interns, PAs, publicists, managers, whole teams of skilled people to make their art for them. I have this asshole, chewing on a Sally Doll arm. 😀 2w
