misstripp I'm adding blisters and knuckle burn to this hangover. It's rewarding. 3d
  •   despise_everything What will you do to them ? Or is that the finished 'urban outfitters look' you are shooting for ? X 3d
  •   misstripp @despise_everything apart from really liking the urban outfitters look, we've pretty much run out of money, so YEAH! This is it, although the Ideal Brown wants to sand and varnish them. 3d
  •   despise_everything I regret painting ours . You are right to leave them . This is a good Sunday night chat eh ? Is antiques roadshow on yet ? X 3d
  •   misstripp @despise_everything how did you paint yours? When is GBBO? Are you pruning and repotting shrubs right now? Where did your bath photo go? 3d
  •   teresa_duck_art Ugh feel your pain. I did our banisters with paint remover then a huge bloody blow torch, no idea how I didn't burn the house down. Took me about 2 months before I realised I'm shit at stripping wood and gave up and painted the fuckers. 3d
  •   despise_everything We just went for a flat grey farrow and ball floor paint because, you know, fucking Kinfolk and all that . I worried that photo made my toes look fat . I miss GBBO. Shall we look into the sewing bee ? Maybe it's for us ? X 3d

misstripp It's practically March, which means it's time to put on the IT audiobook and use those 44 painting-hours to make up for all the work I didn't do in Jebruary 7d
  •   rcardjr87 I hated that movie when I was younger 6d
  •   misstripp @teresa_duck_art thanks so much, I'm so stoked you liked it. It's flattering as fuck getting the approval of fellow artists. G'wan, put IT on. It's narrated by that guy from Wings (? Can't remember his sodding name now) who is great. If you want me to share, just shoot me your email. x 6d
  •   misstripp @thisiskimmings I didn't enjoy the first, but like them generally. I think I got to book 5 before I decided to pace myself. 6d
  •   misstripp @callmeclare aye, he's a proper problem, this guy. 6d
  •   teresa_duck_art @misstripp Who Paul McCartney?? It can't be Paul McfuckingCartney can it! That would be most disturbing. I don't even know how I feel about him on a regular basis never mind reading the King! And yah yah (-...been watching a lot of Fargo lately all my think speak is in a vaguely Canadian accent) please I can't turn down a king offer. I'll email you with my Emailio. X 6d
  •   eelusart If you're sharing it, you know where to find me! 4d
  •   misstripp @eelusart okay, but I might be tanked so REMIND ME MONDAY, MKAY?! 4d

  •   mynamesmike I don't like the thought of cats shitting the place up as if the whole house is merely a comfortable and elaborate toilet just for them. If dogs carried on like that they would soon find themselves sent 'to live in the country'. If kids did it then they would, rightfully, be sent to live in care. And adults would obviously be sent to the nut house or France . CATS TAKE LIBERTIES. 1w
  •   mynamesmike As for toilet holders. @despise_everything is correct to mention me as I have recent aquired two from sainsburys at a fiver each. I am not using them as toilet roll holders though and, besides, have now moved on to using IKEA lamp stands instead as I prefer the black finish to the chrome of a toilet roll holder. 1w
  •   misstripp @mynamesmike my god, a lamp stand is a brilliant idea. Plus a trip to IKEA is always good for 142 new house plants and guy-seizing meatballs. In fairness to my cat he didn't like litter trays (who would?) and we didn't have a catflap. Things are way better now, 7 years on. 1w
  •   mynamesmike I am not using the IKEA lamp stand as a toilet roll holder though and suspect that a five qujd special from sainsburys* would be more suitable for that purpose. 1w
  •   mynamesmike *other supermarkets are available. 1w
  •   misstripp @mynamesmike well I'm going to; I love the idea of just threading them on like beads. 1w
  •   mynamesmike THAT IS HOW THE SAINSBURYS ONES ARE! 1w

misstripp Plans in motion to go to @beejoir's side of the world and make some art/mistakes! Jan/Feb 2016...just one more year and I can have another coconut boob. And do bronzes. 2w
  •   brad615 Mmm coconut boob 2w
  •   mynamesmike I very much hope the bronzes plan happens but it should happen sooner than a year from now as a year from now is ages and I am not patient. @beejoir and @misstripp make it happen sooner than one year from now . And then please put my name on the list for one, ta ... 2w
  •   misstripp @mynamesmike I've spent the last year not being sure about how I felt RE bronzes. The delay is all my fault. 2w
  •   beejoir @mynamesmike and my first proper solo show in years is smack at the start of next winter....who would want to leave Newcastle in the summer anyhow....the call it the Seychelles of the North don't they? 2w

misstripp GOT HIM! Half walked home, half rode the shoulders. I told Small Cat that I wasn't coming home without him. He heard me shouting and shouted back and hey presto, I CAN DO WORK AGAIN! Thank you so, so much to everyone who has helped. When the posters were pulled down people who had seen him went online and found my details which would've been far more difficult had they not been shares and tweeted so much. I'm so happy. He smells funny. 2w

misstripp Feels like I painted this years ago. My piece for '20 Years Under the Influence of Juxtapoz' at LAMAG. 30" x 30", oil and ink on canvas. Their apparent sense of purpose caused in her an uncharacteristic moment of restraint. Show preview available on @coprogallery's website 2w

misstripp So jogging and doing the family whistle whilst trying to look as imposing as fuck to all potential muggers is difficult and shit and I HATE JOGGING, WHERE'S MY FUCKING CAT? 2w
  •   callmeclare Oh god, I feel for you; I've been that looney woman shouting for her cat; Bon courage! X 2w
  •   misstripp @callmeclare ha ha, it's hands down the worst past time. 2w
  •   callmeclare It really is. 2w
  •   laura_keeble @callmeclare the looney woman look is a fab decoy for potential muggers.. I've been told I do a very realistic 'crazy bag lady'..( and that's without trying!).. Def don't do jogging tho! 2w
  •   stolenorange Hope u find yr cat - sometimes they hide locally for ages 2w
  •   mynamesmike I would not jog down that alley as it looks a worry. Also. I would not jog as i am lazy. 2w
  •   mynamesmike Fingers crossed for Stanley... 2w
  •   misstripp @mynamesmike ha ha ha, thank you for. Jogging really is a ridiculous, tedious thing to do. I basically can't enjoy TV at the moment so I thought it was a good idea. Why anyone would do it for ANY other possible reason is beyond me. Pfff! 2w

  •   laura_keeble No sympathy elicited at all.. Totally get your Mum anger .. He is just trying to figure out a way to sneak back in without being noticed is all ;) xx 3w
  •   misstripp @callmeclare oh my god, 3 months! We've put 500 out of 1000 flyers through doors, asking that people check their sheds etc. We've had two possible sightings. One on Friday, the other Sunday, which is something. 3w

  •   callum__crawford Aw man this is crap. Hope you find him. Our friends in London found their cat after about 6 days, three streets away in someone's shed. 3w
  •   despise_everything Just catching up . Sucks for you . Have you gone to the local paper with the missing cat tale and the promise of a painting to anyone that finds and returns him ? I bet they'd run it . Might help ? X 3w
  •   despise_everything I bet you're sick of people suggesting that . Sorry . Fingers crossed . X 3w
  •   misstripp @despise_everything I didn't think of that. A lot of people actively dislike my art...but then again everyone likes free stuff. Thanks! I'm not sick of getting help and advice at all! People have been really nice. 3w
  •   despise_everything House commission ? 'Internationally exhibited artist' . Photo of you holding a bowl of milk and looking mournful in a short skirt . I worked for a local for two weeks . I know what they want . Might help, the demographic that read local papers and avoid the internet is probably the demographic that takes in stray cats of the street . X 3w
  •   misstripp @callum__crawford thanks, man. I'm walking the back lanes shouting like a crazy woman these days. Fingers crossed. 3w
