missgrr This girl has lived with us for 8 months. It seems like longer! She is going gray, becoming more independent, and getting quite cheeky with the other dogs. 4d
  •   wolfamongstsheep @jackiemason_ she is definitely second in command! The only one she isn't alpha over is Enzo. Twice this week we have caught her snap-barking at my husky when he walked too close to her toy! 4d
  •   missgrr @jackiemason_ Enzo used to do it for the first year we had him if our other dogs would walk by him when he was on the couch. Now Enzo only does it if he is being really bothered and then he means business. He can't really play with the other dogs because he gets too mean. Riot has done it over treats in the kitchen. Flea does it sometimes if the other dogs get too close when she is sleeping. 4d
  •   jackiemason_ Thank you for your help. Teddy has done it a couple of times when he's been asleep and Hope has got on his bed. We weren't sure if it was something to worry about or if it was just dogs being dogs. Thanks again, it good to know others do it. 4d
  •   jackiemason_ Thank you @wolfamongstsheep Teddy is our first greyhound and first big dog so we weren't sure what was acceptable. When a miniature dachshund snaps you don't even notice because they can't hurt anyone. I'm pleased it is normal. Thanks. 4d
  •   missgrr I have always heard it has something to do with their past life being in the crate in their own space for long periods of time. It is a shock to them when another dog comes into their space. Especially when they are sleeping. For many of them they slowly relax and stop doing that after a year or so. 4d
  •   alexandrap610 It does seem like longer that you have had her! She is a greyt with your crew! 3d
  •   jackiemason_ That makes sense. He is always so gentle except for those couple of times in his bed. Thanks again for your advise. I can relax now. 3d

missgrr Busy snoozing after I made him go to the vet twice! He is all good. He has a hard lump on his leg but the vet who has worked with retired racers for 30 years says it is just an old tendon injury that now has bone growing around it. It's not painful and not an issue! Westosha Animal Hospital in Silver Lake, WI is amazing! 6d
