mikejwatts The look of confusion when you reshoot a video 15 times. Been awhile but when I heard at dinner the other night about the BS coming out of Indiana, I had to shoot this video. Really Indiana, really? 2d

mikejwatts 8 years ago I found a picture similar to this one in a magazine. I torn it out and carried it around for a very long time. I lost it in my years of traveling around the US and moving everywhere. But the visions never left my head.

The picture was of the Maldives. It was the most magnificent place I have ever seen in a magazine and I wanted to stay in a bungalow over the water. I told myself, "This is where I am going on my honeymoon." Mission accomplished! And it is really the most magnificence feeling to do something I have been dreaming about for so long.

Don't ever believe anyone when they tell you your dreams aren't possible. My life has turned pretty much identical to the way I dreamed it would turnout. Up to this point of course.

Everything is possible. Put in the effort and give it some time. Your dreams will come true when you put in the hustle.
The majority of people will never put in the hustle and their dreams will never come true. Don't be the majority, be the minority.

mikejwatts A small glimpse of Dubai. The amount of construction taking place in this city is unbelievable. The city is preparing for Expo 2020. It will be interesting to watch what happens to the city over the next few decades. From a culture perspective as well. I believe it is really trying to find its identity right now. 6d

mikejwatts When you leave Koh Samui, they take you on a trolley to your plane. Thank you Vana Belle for taking care of us over the past week. Unreal place and the service was amazing.
Tip of the day: Don't fly into Bangkok during rush hour and book a hotel in the city. Big time messed that one up. 25 min trip turned into 1.5 hours of sitting in the car. If you decided to do it though make sure you bring Kate. She made it entertaining. @spg #spglife

mikejwatts Happy Birthday to my amazing wife, @katenorthrup. I asked the hotel to go all out with flowers and balloons. They delivered with balloon animals and 4 bouquets. Kate revisited her childhood with so much excitement about the poodle. Can you spot the poodle? 1w

mikejwatts Watching beach negotiations between the beach walker and the tourist next to us. I have a feeling the beach walker comes out on top no matter what. He started extremely high, brought out the lesser product that you have to blow up, added in a second raft for the guys wife, and never left until the sale was completed. The tourist showed interest since he called him over and the beach walker delivered and the mans wife is now happy.
And they didn't speak each other language at all. Great sales lesson.

  •   nothinglost Beautiful! 1w
  •   larabrightside Love this! We spent 5 months in Sayulita, Mexico and said, "No, Gracias," about a million times to beach vendors THEN on one of our last days, while soaking up the sun in a prime beach spot, we committed to saying "Si!!" to anyone that offered us something. Was so fun and kinda healing to the Soul, too! 1w
  •   mikejwatts @larabrightside - now that would be a lot of fun! 1w

mikejwatts This is what they call the Thailand weed. It was all over the river which is why the boat broke down and we were stuck for an extra two hours. Yes there is a river under the green.
Things I learned while being stuck on a boat in Thailand:

1. I have a feeling things like this happen all the time in Thailand.
2. The people on the boat remained calm and relaxed once they saw that it was being handled. Enjoyed the experience. In the US, I could see people yelling, getting aggressive, everyone giving their opinion like they have all of the answers, and I am sure someone would have threatened to sue.
3. The kids on the boat were extremely well behaved and didn't cause a seen. It was amazing. Hot tip: Feed the kids real food and not sugar loaded snacks and they remain calm.
4. Putting yourself in uncomfortable situations is good for the nervous system. We didn't speak the language at all and it was a great experience.
5. Bring your own toilet paper on the boat. Hot tips for the ladies. Item to add to travel bag next time.
6. Sometimes you don't really need to explain everything. We were stuck, they fixed the issue and it was right back to the tour, no explanation needed. No one clapped or applauded, right back to business.
7. Bring extra snacks with you, if you are going on boat trip.
8. Relax everything is going to be ok.
9. Stop rushing and enjoy the moments of your day.
10. Life is short and stop doing anything you are sick and tired of doing.

  •   daniellelaporte Extra toilet paper. Got it. 2w
  •   johannavoss @mikejwatts I forgot tp and hand sanitizer (if that's your thing) on my hot tips list 2w
  •   sharonorelladesigns I like #10 2w
  •   mikejwatts @johannavoss - hand sanitizer, never really been my thing. Plus before you were taking USANA and now you don't have to worry about that. Second in Thailand every place you go they start the trip or meal with hot towels. So I feel that is close. 2w
  •   johannavoss @mikejwatts maybe the way you travel thru Thailand... I def don't recall hot towels on my Asian experience. Next time :) 2w
  •   mikejwatts @johannavoss - yes backpacking much different and I would most likely be caring hand sanitizer. And the next time you stay at our house, I will deliver hot towels. 2w
  •   johannavoss @mikejwatts deal! 1w
