michaelaul I was nominated by @saltywalt for the 3 paintings for 5 days challenge but I've already shown everyone the paintings I felt were successes. So I figured I'd do it with 15 paintings that are important to me and are there to inspire no matter how many times I look at them. Right: Xavier Mellery "Autumn" 1890 this painting creeps me out especially considering how long ago it was made. Bottom left:Pablo Picasso "Melancholy" 1902 the atmosphere in this painting is crushing. Top left: Magritte "The Glass Key" i always admired the weight of this painting and I don't mean in tons. I used to think it was cool not to look at paintings by famous artists and that was super dumb. 1mon
