mdemske This morning I worked on squats, lunges and sled pulls. I warmed up with deadlifts using my @roguefitness monster bands (obsessed) Using the bands, the resistance is at the top of the movement as opposed to the bottom, it's a different feel. Me & @blastergirl did our squats in a ladder, starting lighter and working our way up for multiple sets. Plus I'm obsessed with my SBD sleeves @andersonpowerlifting, and I'm wearing size mediums bc #quads lol 😎 Happy Saturday 🏼 1w

mdemske This is only clips from one of the workouts out of basically 4 different ones -----------------------------------------------------------We started with a workout with 9 "stations" one-minute at each (Rest, double unders, OH squat, DB snatch, battle ropes, burpees, air dyne bike, sit-ups, row.) we did that 2x through. Then ran outside holding a 35lb plate. Next workout we carried water jugs & sandbags. 10 box jump/sprint combo. Three rounds of sled/tire (video). Then ended with a jog a lot of foam roaming and relaxing for the rest of the day #theydidntknowwhattheyweregettinginto #saturdaytraining 2w

mdemske Working on hang cleans w/clean & jerks today. I was just doing 85 & 90lbs. And then the AMRAP was:
17 minutes
7 power cleans
7 burpees
250m row/200m run (alternate each round)
I got 7 rounds, was just starting number 8 when the time capped. #upbeforethesun #tgif #cleans #amrap

mdemske (Photo was 1 week out from Nats) Long caption alert I love training, it's absolutely my number one passion. I never want to lose that, and there have been periods where I just felt so forced to train and the excitement to train was dwindling. The motivation and excitement is back, and I've set other goals for myself inside the gym like increasing weight on certain lifts and perfecting certain functional and agility movements. Fitness is evolving all the time and I want something more to show for than just aesthetics. If you're struggling to get lean or staying on track & you think stamping a competition date on your calendar will solve all your problems then I'm sorry but you're wrong. You have to be healthy physically AND mentally. I see so many people ignore that aspect. Do what you love.. If you don't love it - don't do it. It's just that simple. I do it for me & no one else. #wasthattoomuchforamonday 3w
