mbevel Oh, and the rain beaten spring flowers ... 7h
  •   shardrix Lovely shot. Wind and rain battered most of my flowers too. 7h
  •   mbevel @shardrix Thanks, it's was definitely a batten down the hatches sort of night around here 7h

mbevel To keep from falling down the hill ;-) 3d
  •   angiexplores Interesting the way this fence was constructed... Loving your perspective :) 2d
  •   mbevel @angiexplores Its a fairly old fence (probably much older than me) separating the Twin Lights' property from the neighborhood below... And, thank you 23h

mbevel Visiting the twins on a cloudy and drizzly beautiful spring morning 4d
  •   robmeknot The twins must be fraternal, not identical! 2d
  •   mbevel @robmeknot I always wondered why (I know I could look it up but just haven't gotten around to it) they are similar and yet so different - why not make them both square or more sides like the north tower? 23h

mbevel A beautiful spring day with sun and fun clouds at the Jersey Shore today 6d
  •   crs___ Ugh I wish I there today 6d
  •   robmeknot We deserve a nice Spring! 5d
  •   mbevel @crs___ Yes, it was a beautiful few days we've had... unlike today's chilly, blustery, and rainy weather 23h
  •   mbevel @robmeknot I agree... Especially since I'm missing the preview I had of summer from a quick jaunt to Florida recently... Looking forward to lazy afternoons with a beer or two by the water's edge 23h

mbevel The old lighthouse up on the dune - as opposed to the slightly newer one built across the street 7d
  •   mbevel BTW, this lighthouse, built when our nation was in its infancy, was the first public works project authorized by the government 7d
  •   robmeknot Amazing... I like knowing that! 7d
  •   mbevel @robmeknot Its an interesting visit - partially because it's on an active military base so you need to go through the complete military inspection of your vehicle and its contents before being allowed on base (with instructions of where you can go and warnings of what you can point your camera lens at) 23h
  •   robmeknot That's a little intimidating. Or maybe you don't feel that way when you're there. 20h

mbevel Things seen while out exploring... 1w
  •   angiexplores -Always awesome to happen upon a barn! :) 2d
  •   mbevel @angiexplores I'm not sure of its original use, but I believe it was most recently (who nows how long ago) some sort of store front 23h

mbevel Recently visited St. Augustine to see @jigtoamilestone at the Barley Republic; however, they weren't technically there that night - instead had a fun time listening to a traditional Irish 'session' with several good musicians (including Victoria, the female half of Jig to a Milestone) while eating some great Irish food and sampling their brews. As a bonus, also got to hear her play while chatting with Hank Williams, the always friendly and knowledgeable proprietor of Monks Vineyard, earlier in the day. Unfortunately, never did get to hear Jig to a Milestone as a whole on this trip... But I did get to see this fun sign ;-) 1w
  •   jigtoamilestone Yeah, we don't play much in St Aug anymore. I(Jason) moved to Gainesville back in December. 1w
  •   mbevel @jigtoamilestone Ah... Next time we head south we'll try schedule one of your Gainesville shows... We missed the one a couple of days ago by a few days... 1w
  •   robmeknot Awesome sign! 7d
  •   angiexplores Me thinks I'll skip Jack's!! ;) lol 2d
  •   mbevel @robmeknot Thanks Joan... I thought it looked interesting in the dark, especially given the skeleton motif 23h
  •   mbevel @angiexplores Not sure how the food is... Didn't step in... Based on the sign though, if it's still around there next time I'm in the area I'll probably nip in for a tequila ;-) 23h

  •   rdegr Looks like an FAA near miss. 1w
  •   angiexplores :)) ! It's wonderful to see birds frozen in flight to see their style and elegance..... 2d
  •   mbevel @rdegr Unfortunately, you are correct sir ;-) 23h
  •   mbevel @angiexplores I was lucky with this one since they are in such different phases of flight 23h

  •   angiexplores There's just something about pelicans :)) ....... Love that bit of rope :) 2d
  •   mbevel @mekelefleur I definitely miss these guys when I'm home... They need to head our way in the summer ... It's not that dissimilar weather 22h
  •   mbevel @angiexplores Over the years, I've taken so many pictures of these guys that I almost didn't take any this time... What drew me in, however, was that bit of rope 22h
  •   mekelefleur I still want to hug one. Lol 22h
  •   angiexplores :)) 13h
