Hey all. Happy Sunday, I hope you’ve had a great weekend. Looking back to a visit to Beachy Head a few weeks ago with @jacob. This is the view across the Jurassic looking rocks to the lighthouse that sits at the foot of the the 531ft Chalk Cliffs. I used an ND filter here for the seascape, as there was not much movement in the water - the tide was going out. In my experience, with little water movement, seascapes tend to look better with this ‘frozen’ water effect. The rock textures on the beach here are crazy, the could almost be from another planet!!. Have a good evening!!

Hello my friends. Happy Friday!! Sunset shot of Brighton Pier here, taken last weekend. For about 10 minutes after sunset, the sky went insane, beautiful pink light amongst the cloud!! Brighton is very close to where I live in the UK, and I always love to go into the city, it holds so many happy memories. The pier was originally built in 1823, and its current incarnation was opened in 1899. It’s now known as ‘Brighton Pier’, although i’ve always known it as the ‘Palace Pier’ - it’s a Grade II listed building in the UK.

Hello my friends. How are you? This is the beautiful bandstand that sits on the seafront to the west of #brighton, shot during a particularly lovely sunset on Saturday evening. I’ve photographed this structure previously at night, and looked at it again a few times, but never been happy with the light until now. I really like the symmetry, and the illuminations are lovely to look at when the sun goes down. -

Evening everyone. Here’s that lovely Clyde Arc again, this time with the Finnieston Crane in view to the left of shot. This area of the Clydebank is ridiculously photogenic, with the Arc, SSE, Armadillo, Bells Bridge, the BBC Building, the Science Centre, and Finnieston Crane all within about 1000 metres. I could spend days there shooting all the different comps!! I found the key to the best shots of this area to be still water, the reflections in the Clyde really do make the difference !! -

Hey all - hope your weekend is good so far! Sunset shot from London Bridge towards St Paul's earlier this summer, during a particularly crazy few minutes of light - this was the best sunset I think i’ve seen in London, certainly this year anyway. Composite of 3 shots here - 1 LE for the water, & 2 much shorter exposures for the sky, and the architectural detail. blended together in Photoshop, with some colouring in Color Efex pro, and warming filters applied. -

Hey all. Happy Friday. I’m glad it’s the end of the week. Home for the weekend to see my loved ones today, & I can’t wait. Hey all, happy Monday!! Brief interlude from the travel shots to return to this classic blue hour view from Waterloo Bridge, looking at the London Eye, & the Houses of Parliament. Hungerford Bridge can be seen in the foreground, with St George’s Wharf to the rear left of shot. I love the view from this bridge at blue hour, such a great representation of #london. The key to getting this shot correctly exposed is multiple shots blended in my experience, particularly with the clock face of Big Ben - theres so much range in the light, that 2 or 3 exposures is the right way to go. Enjoy your day

Morning my friends. Hope all is well, & the weekend is looking good for you. I was out touring the coastal path of Northumberland last weekend, and stumbled across this little bay near Craster. The coastline of Northumberland was staggeringly beautiful, a place I won’t forget in a hurry, and I’m very keen to return to again in the near future. There was not too much sea movement for this particular shot, so I went with a 10 stop ND filter to ‘freeze’ the water. The rich blues and greens appeal to me, with the prehistoric rock formations, and I like the lines of the rocks leading out into the distance. Have a fab weekend!!

Greetings from Glasgow! It’s a good day for weather here today, the last couple have been nice, so I’m making the most of it!!. This is the Clyde Arc, - some of you will have seen my previous shots of it. On Sunday evening it was lit up in multi colours, which I thought was very cool indeed. The water was also dead still on the Clyde, and the reflections in those conditions are bangin’!! :-) The Arc is a bit like Tower Bridge - difficult to walk past with out taking a shot! -

Morning all. How’s it going? Had a tour around the wonderful Northumberland coast yesterday. I was able to see the beauty of this place for myself, and grab a few shots along the way. This is St Mary’s lighthouse on a tiny island named ‘Bait Island’, just off Whiltley Bay, Northumberland. The lighthouse and cottages were built in 1898. Due to it’s eastern position, sunrises are probably the better time to visit. For this image, I managed to walk out on the rocks, past the lighthouse, so that the setting sun in the west was just peeking behind it. I like the rays of light from the sun, and the reflection of the lighthouse in the rock pool in the foreground. I love lighthouses!! Have a good day -
