marieinworld Finished with the lovely lady's face and hair. Laid down base colors for her body and her dragon. Layers sooo many many layers! 🐉 4d
  •   marieinworld Kinda strange that I sit in front of this painting a few hours everyday but I only really SEE it when I take a picture of it. 4d

marieinworld Still working on the lovely lady's face but I wanted to lay down a base color for her body. So I can define where she is and where her inner dragon is. 🐉 6d

marieinworld Weeellllll I was going to start color but then I decide to torture myself with this. Plus side! I have plenty of time now to think about what color or colors I want to use. 2w

marieinworld Having a hard tome deciding what colors to use for this fierce lovely lady and her inner dragon. Decisions, decisions, decisions. 🐉 2w

marieinworld So far sooooo awesome! As predicted entirely too much fun. A little more time consuming but fun. Here are the main lines painted out. On to the second layer of lines! 3w

marieinworld Random little side note factoid. This is my lamp Lulu Luminous. She is fantabulous... or lamptabulous? 3w

marieinworld This is my first time using @trekell_art_supplies . First time attempting to take my art style to a new medium. Second time using acrylic paint. I bought an inexpensive acrylic set a while ago and painted with it once. Decided I liked acrylic, but needed to get much better supplies. I noticed that several of the artists I follow on Instagram are using a brand called Trekell. I did my research, liked what I found out, and now here I am about to pop my Trekell cherry . I bought a 9x12 acrylic primed linen canvas, Trekell paints the basics - black, white, blue, red, yellow, and a few secondary colors I could not resist, seven - 6 inch golden taklon brushes. This should be entirely too much fun. Peace ️ Love and Awesome Sauce 3w
  •   marieinworld Oh the tape is to 'secure' the canvas to my adjustable drawing table. I kinda don't have an easel... yet. Working on it! 3w

marieinworld Today is the day! I am going to attempt to take my art style from marker on bristol to acrylic on canvas. Still the same size 9x12. Should be fun to try it on a different medium and see what changes happen. Found the good vibes I have been waiting for. Next post I will explain what supplies I am using. 3w

marieinworld This one only took me twenty mins. Heh only . I am finding my confidence again. Feeling better about trusting my instincts.
For those of you wondering why I am sketching Belle. Two reasons. One Belle is my favorite Disney princess and I never tire of drawing her. Two I wanted to start with a simple character sketch without too many details. Something that can help me find my own character and drawing style. I like that I am getting more comfortable with it.
Today is going to be more sketches. Tomorrow is going to be a big day for me. I am going to try my abstract style on canvas with acrylic paint. I have been putting this off for a loooong while. I finally feel ready for the leap. It is kinda scary to try something new. I am excited about it now and not dreading tomorrow but looking forward to it. Peace ️Love and Awesome Sauce Lovelys.

marieinworld Sketchbook Saturday. I am going to try to sketch more often. Need to get back into the habit. It is difficult for me to do quick sketches because I go crazy over little details. Like face and eye shape. Le sigh. Hopefully with some time and practice I will be able to do at least ten min sketches instead of forty min sketches. 4w
