manmadediy After five years of messing with to-do apps and online tools, I gave a basic pen and paper system a try.

I've never been happier. Or more organized.

manmadediy Ever wonder why the bottom button is sewn with a different thread color?

If you look, you'll also note: it's sideways, as is the top collar button. This makes them harder to button (ever notice that?), but reduces the likelihood that the button will come undone. This is especially important since the bottom button is usually tucked into your trousers, where it experiences more stress from being pulled side-to-side. Traditionally, this meant reinforcing the button and the buttonhole with a thicker thread, which was either done on a second sewing machine, or as a last step when finishing a job. Hence, a different thread and different color.

manmadediy Hello, everyone - this is my brand new bicycle. I don't know how exciting that is to other people, but I saved for more than a year to buy it, and I'm gonna ride one million miles on it. And if you want to come over, I'll let you ride it, too. 2mon
