Creating happiness isn't selfish!
Don't abuse your happiness for feeling guilty you're not pleasing others! I am not a fake person. I am very open and real. I chose to surround myself with real people. No drama, no fabricated stories, no popularity, no clout. As soon as I realized how toxic certain people were and felt depleted after being around these very people whom I cared deeply for (family & friends) I realized I needed to let go of them completely (or at least limit their time in my life). lvnfit Before I ever actually tried to #loseweight and before I thought is was even #possible to no longer weigh 280lbs all I wanted was to be able to buy AND WEAR regular #jeans and a #tank top!! Something so simple YET something I desperately wanted!!! I wanted to be #happy enough to go in public and walk into a store without fear of others laughing at me. Many days I stayed trapped in my house out of fear. I wanted to be #healthy enough to put on a pair of jeans (in a regular size without them being maternity or stretchy waisted pants and without wearing tummy controlling underwear)!!! I just wanted to be happy and healthy!! Before I ever started this #journey jeans and a tank became my symbol of health & freedom especially if I were to reach this absurd goal. Finding faith within myself (at 280 lbs and depressed) was like wishing on a star. ️ I decided one day I was done feeling trapped! I was done with all the misery associated with obesity. I was DONE Wishing!!! I knew I had to do the work to make the change! I knew I had to have less junk food, less hiding candy, less emotional eating, less EXCUSES!!! I had to have more positive thoughts, more movement (through exercise), more control with food! ALL THESE CHANGES EQUALED MORE RESULTS!
Everyday hurt! Every hour my inner voice tried to self sabotage but I kept reminding myself EXCUSES OR RESULTS?!!! I knew if I didn't change how could I expect my mind or body to change???? I can say now I'm glad I pushed through the pain & bad thoughts and I'm glad I said enough is enough. It is nice to feel free enough to go out in public, buy a pair of jeans and a tank but more importantly I'm FREE! lvnfit Pumpkin Granola Smoothie

When the hubby left his uncarved pumpkin at home after leaving for work I saw CARB POTENTIAL!!! LOL 
Forget carving! It's all about CARBING!! NOM Nom Nom!! Ok, so I chopped the pumpkin in half, scooped out the seeds (to bake later) placed the entire #pumpkin (both halves) on a cookie sheet, sprayed the insides of both halves with coconut oil and baked at 250-2hrs (until fork tender). After completly cooled I cut the pumpkin away from the skin and into pieces and places half in freezer & half in fridge.
Today I pulled out the refrigerated pumpkin and made this beautiful fall festive smoothie. 
In a blender add:
2 handfuls of ice
1 cup vanilla almond milk
1 scoop vanilla ISO 100 protein powder
150 gram fresh pumpkin
100 gram  banana 
Sprinkle in a little Cinnanon, ginger powder & nutmeg 
1/3 cup KIND maple granola (reserve a pinch for top if you want). 506 calories
9 fat 
71 carbs 
14 fiber
32 protein

lvnfit This plate of food is more than words can express!!! It's beautiful, colorful and BEYOND FLAVORFUL!!! Start by sautéing 15 cherry tomatoes + 3.5 oz egg plant in a pan using evoo spray, a tiny bit of sea salt & crushed black pepper.  Let cook. 
In another pan cook cook 10 oz (tail on) shrimp with evoo spray, some cilantro & 1tsp ginger paste. Let cook.

Now (using a spiralizer-bought mine at Sur La Table) make zucchini noodles.  I used 2 regular sized zucchinis which yealded 275 grams once weighed. Place zucchini noodles in a bowl.

Meanwhile in a blender add 200 gram mango, 1 oz cilantro, 3 oz avocado, 2 Tblspn seasoned rice vinegar & 2 Tblspn water.  Blend until creamy.
Note** this made a lot of dressing so next time I'll use 1-2 more zucchini.
Pour dressing over zucchini noodles and mix so every bite is covered in this fabulous dressing!!!
Plate your noodles and top with sautéed veggies & shrimp and let all the fireworks in your mouth begin!!! AGHHHH I'll be having this on the regular!! Fo Show!!! For Entire Plate:

lvnfit October fruit stand finds!... This weather we're having is bizarre (feels like summer in October). So if a fruit stand is open I'm stopping!!
Today's finds: cilantro, okra, eggplant, edible persimmons (so sweet you eat like an apple) and JuJuBees (those weird brown/yellow things) these taste kinda like a mild apple. I've always baked with persimmons because the ones I've found taste like if you eat them raw. BUT today that all changed as I was exposed to this other variety of persimmons!!! It's like eating a healthy fruit roll up!!!
