littlecoal I'm noticing lately that he doesn't have to reach up as high to hold my hand. I don't want to keep my children from growing up, but could we at least slow it down a little bit? 6h

littlecoal I've been blessed recently with a few things that I'm looking forward to sharing with you in the near future! For now, I give you this comfortable view from NW Ohio and all of it's cloudy, crop-filled goodness. 2d

littlecoal When my IG friend Calle, @locarl, sent me this photo to edit, I was thrilled, because it's been a favorite since the first time I saw it. Calle lives in Stockholm, so visiting this spot in person is fairly unlikely, but it's a place I can easily imagine. I can see my own three kids running up this path to discover just what secret those trees are protecting. Thank you for the opportunity to work with you, @locarl, and if you're looking for a beautiful feed from a great person, you should head there now! 2d

littlecoal While visiting NYC in April, one of the great guys I had an opportunity to meet was @gio_ography. Gio takes on a different theme each month and his July theme has been "Tiny City". I love how he challenges himself to take something different on for an entire month and I wanted to add my own shot of Chicago to the tag #tinycity. If you're not already following @gio_ography go check him out! 3d

littlecoal My friend @joncourville is holding a free-for-all with several of his beautiful images. Jon's one of those guys that I look forward to meeting someday, as we've supported one another on here since our first days. Go check Jon out, download a few of his shots and give him a follow...he's a great guy with a ton of talent. Photo: @joncourville Edit: @littlecoal 4d

littlecoal I never post non-iPhone shots on my account, but after watching a storm roll through Chicago a few weeks ago with @ryanpostel and @thecraighensel I decided to make this post the exception. My photo with a great edit by my friend Craig. #toledovschicago 5d

littlecoal We're incredibly blessed to have opportunities like this one to share with the kids and we are thankful for each one. A paddle boat ride at sunset is something that is high on their list of summer memories. 5d

littlecoal The kite flyer. Imagine if this was your son. Standing in a dump, which most of us wouldn't even want to stand and if we did we would be using both hands to hold our nose and eyes in an attempt to keep the reality of our surroundings from further attacking our senses, but yet here he stands...flying his kite. This dump is his everyday reality and he is still able to find joy while surrounded by trash. This photo belongs to my friend @calebdawson and an organization he works with called @beautifulfeetorg. They work to help people and specifically children living in these conditions in countries like Nicaragua(pictured), to provide job training and simply know that people love them. Visit @calebdawson's profile to download a picture and help share the message. Together, acting as a community, we can help make a difference. #communityfirst 6d

  •   grannyofmany My church also works to get people out of the dump in Nicarauga. Our youth did a sleep over in boxes and raised enough money to build a house and repair another 3d

littlecoal Anyone need a ride? (The story: While exploring Chicago a few weeks ago, we came upon a film crew shooting a film for a child as part of the Make-a-Wish foundation. The crew said that he wanted to be part of a Godzilla movie & they were doing everything they could to make that happen. I hope we can one day see the finished piece. They generously allowed our group of Instagramers on the set, as they were in between shots. After seeing this cab parked along the side of an empty Chicago street in front of the Chicago Exchange, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to ask him if he would move to the center of the street for me. After asking the cabby and then the director, he moved exactly where I envisioned him and they gave us time to get the shot. When will I ever again have an empty Chicago street and willing cab drivers at my disposal?!) #viewfindersofthepast #toledovschicago 6d

  •   jakerz420 @littlecoal One last question, brother: I know you couldn't be getting those results with the built-in iphone camera app. Which app do you prefer? 4d
  •   littlecoal @jakerz420 other than my long exposure shots that I shoot using AverageCamPro, I shoot everything using the native camera in my iPhone 5s. If you glass is like mine, you'll find that there are many situations(bright sunlight) where it is almost impossible to get the shot through the top viewfinder. That's one of the reasons I look for subjects that are silhouettes or have great light on them. The biggest thing is having shade over you while you shoot. It's a challenge each time and then partner that with attempting to combine an interesting subject below the camera with one in front if the camera and you'll see why I love this series. 4d
  •   wallytikken Wow, nice story ánd picture 3d
  •   msmsq88 @littlecoal what the camera name ? 11h

littlecoal You have this moment only once. (Taken from the bottom of a ditch my son asked if we could climb down to the bottom of to see what it looked like. As we get older, we begin to feel like there's no time, but he reminds me everyday that making the time is always with it.) 7d
