leslieglewis Janu Sirsasana C is my favorite of the Janu Sirsasana Poses. In the C variation the foot is placed against the inner thigh of the extended leg with the toes tucked under and the foot oriented downwards. This pose opens the hamstrings, calves and ankles as well as spine while calming the mind. We'll be opening, calming and strengthening in all of my Thursday classes listed below. See you there!

leslieglewis Half Frog Pose, aka Ardha Bhekasana, stretches the entire front of the body, while strengthening the back, thus helping to improve posture. This pose is also traditionally known for awakening kundalini, or inner potential energy, located at the base of the spine that brings us towards enlightenment. We'll be practicing this pose and many others during both my 2pm Core Vinyasa and my 7:30pm Vinyasa classes @sanghayogashala. Hope to see you there!

leslieglewis Bridge Pose, aka Setu Banda Sarvangasana, is a more basic backbend pose that has so many amazing benefits. It stretches the chest, shoulders, spine and neck while strengthening the legs.
