laurentelford96 Easy mornings on my Easter break reading the beautiful @_kimberlysnyder's new book and sipping on @equinoxkombucha! This morning I also made a homemade spicy hot chocolate which I'll hopefully get round to sharing a photo/recipe of soon, but for those who are interested, it was a combination of oat mylk, raw cacao, cinnamon, ginger & cayenne, with a hint of sweetness from vanilla & maple syrup (just a touch), and I also added some chia seeds for a boost of energy, protein & omegas, and a little texture! 2d

Like when your nail polish matches your smoothie this was a snap from yesterday, featuring a green smoothie of spinach, apple, banana, lemon, ginger, cinnamon, spirulina, hemp seeds & almond mylk! I made a similar one today but swapped the banana for cucumber & blueberries and swapped the almond mylk for oat mylk - both were pretty darn delicious! #glowinggreensmoothie 2d

laurentelford96 Some delicious brain-fuel (if anything can fuel my sleepy head today), full of plant-based protein, healthy omega-3 fatty acids, fibre & antioxidants (plus many amazing bone-building minerals, like calcium, phosphorus & magnesium). For those of you who don't recognise this spot-light superfood from the photo, I'm talking about CHIA SEEDS. They're an amazing superfood, packing in all of this nutrition in such a tiny physical form. These little seeds are super absorbent, so when you soak them, they swell up to numerous times their size and form a 'gel-like' substance, called a 'chia pudding'. It may sound and look pretty strange, but it's actually very pleasant, and super versatile. Here I've made a chocolate-coconut chia pudding, simply by soaking 3-4 tbsps of the seeds in a cup of @rudehealth coconut mylk, with a tbsp of raw cacao powder whisked through. Soak for a few hours, overnight, or keep some in the fridge soaked for a few days to serve as an emergency snack for when your blood sugar levels crash, you have a sweet tooth/craving, or pre/post workout. 1w
