laurenepbath And what trip overseas is complete without some epic skyporn? I woke
up on my first day in Barcelona and caught a taxi to the beachfront to see how it compared to my Aussie beaches. Pretty well as you can see. Haha. @FlightCentreAu #FlightCentre_Spain

laurenepbath Barcelona, Spain! This was my mum’s dream destination and we are
definitely planning our next trip to Spain! A few short nights in Barcelona was nowhere near close to being enough. This is the Fonts de Montjuïc, which wasn’t running on the day I went. Instead I opted for a great reflection shot of the impressive details. @FlightCentreAu#FlightCentre_Spain

laurenepbath And here she is – my mum! Arguably the best person in the world! Mum
has been a big supporter of my work, my career transition and still looks after me when I need it. It was my privilege to explore Europe with her and I hope it’s just the first of many overseas trips for us. @FlightCentreAu makes dreams a reality – there is absolutely no way I could have organized a trip this size with my busy schedule. #FlightCentre_France

laurenepbath In addition to the lavender and sunflowers Provence is actually still really beautiful with the regular colored crops. I was especially interested in photographing this cute falling down barn lost in a field of wheat. I just needed another Instagrammer there with me to pose. Haha. @FlightCentreAu #FlightCentre_France 1d

laurenepbath For those that don’t believe me – this is lavender NEXT to sunflowers. And
just to make the entire scene even more beautiful – quaint little wooden bee houses. I think I would love to eat that honey! @FlightCentreAu

laurenepbath I may have also forgotten to mention that the lavender fields in
Provence sit side by side with sunflower fields!!! I mean can this place be any more “Instagrammable”? And hey, I love our Aussie sunflower fields but this place has LAVENDER NEXT TO SUNFLOWERS! Haha. @FlightCentreAu #FlightCentre_France

laurenepbath Sooooooo, did I mention that mum and I went to Provence so that I could photograph the flowering lavender fields? I’m not going to lie; this was kind of a photography high point for me. Imagine that in every direction you look the views are so stunning you can’t take a bad picture if you try?! This was a great day for me because it gave mum a chance to see me in “landscape photographer” mode. She was suitably impressed. Lol. @FlightCentreAu #FlightCentre_France 2d

laurenepbath Like every tourist that visits Paris I took about a million photos of the ‘
Eiffel Tower. Rather than bore you with every one of them I have chosen my favorite – because it’s an angle not many photographers go for, the “underbelly of the beast” haha. Shot on dusk with my Paris friend @juanjerez keeping me company. @FlightCentreAu #FlightCentre_France

laurenepbath I really like this scene, it’s a street in Montmartre where mum and I took a guided walking tour. The area has a lot of history and we spent a very enjoyable 2 hours learning more about it. See! How would I have had time to Instagram when I was enjoying this? ;) @FlightCentreAu#FlightCentre_France 2d

laurenepbath What trip to France would be complete without some sightseeing? Mum and I had to hit all the usual spots – the Louvre (pictured), La Basilique du Sacré Cœur de Montmartre, Notre Dam and the Eiffel Tower were amongst a few of the places we hit. Even though it’s busy and there are lines and people it’s all just worth it. Paris is the most historical place I’ve ever visited and I loved every minute. @FlightCentreAu#FlightCentre_France 2d
  •   laurenepbath @christinesalz I've heard Rome is amazing - my mum went after I went home :) 2d
  •   laurenepbath @mrk60 thanks a lot - it's a bit different :) 2d

  •   laurenepbath @cardenas_morgane thanks for the great advice! I did get to Provence but only quickly- shots to come :) 2d
  •   neat0304 Chloe has loved every minute, lucky thing! I can't wait to see her photos and give her a big arse hug when she gets off the plane! I can only imagine your photos there! 2d
  •   cardenas_morgane That s great! Cant wait to see the pics :) hope you enjoyed being in that part of France 2d
  •   anaiisweimer Paris is not my favorite city, even the architecture and the louvre are really really beautiful ! I spent a good time in that museum. But if you get a chance to travel in the east part of France, you should go to Strasbourg where there is the European Parliament. (In case, my mum has a B&B not fareway from this city). Anyway, enjoy your time in this country :) 2d
  •   ciara_cat It's a very pretty city, and easy to get around. Love the old French towns too. 16h

laurenepbath This is Napoleon’s dome, literally where Napoleon’s tomb is kept. Mum and I passed this location on a guided bus tour on a cloudy day. I shot this from my seat when the heavens opened and shone some light directly on the roof of the dome. Pretty awesome! @FlightCentreAu#FlightCentre_France 3d

laurenepbath Our hotel in Paris was so quaint and located in a less touristy area close to “Pigalle” metro station. Every day when we commuted between the hotel and train station we would stop at this fruit shop until we finally weakened and purchased a tonne of strawberries! Lol. @FlightCentreAu

laurenepbath On my first morning in Paris Mum and I set off to capture the Eiffel tower at sunrise but unfortunately didn’t have a good morning for it. (No clouds) Instead we ventured off for some street photography, always fun with strong backlight. @FlightCentreAu #FlightCentre_France 3d

laurenepbath So a bunch of people may remember that I went to France and Spain in July and that I didn’t post any shots from my trip. I’m happy to announce that now I am going to show you some of my favorites. For those that are wondering why I didn’t post for that trip the reason is that I was enjoying a holiday with my mum. It has been a lifelong dream of hers to visit Europe and I wanted to help to make that a reality for her without worrying about social media. I also want to thank @FlightCentreAu for making this trip possible and for the support, you guys rock! If you aren’t following @FlightCentreAu on Instagram you should definitely take a look, travel photography galore! #FlightCentre_France 3d

laurenepbath I just landed safely back home on the Gold Coast after the most amazing time in Uluru. This has been one of my favorite trips of late thanks to great company and great photography. I hope you all liked the shots and here's one more star shot because everyone is loving them so much. It took me awhile to get the right settings but it was f8, ISO 6400 and 60 seconds in bulb mode. (Single exposure) If you loved the shots follow @exploreuluru for your daily dose. #exploreuluru 4d

laurenepbath Yesterday we had the pleasure of photographing an indigenous "model" Taine. Taine works at the resort we stayed at and is a performer in the free guest activities. @exploreuluru #exploreuluru 4d

laurenepbath This is sunrise at Uluru! It doesn't look like it because we actually prefer to view the rock when the light from behind starts to hit it. (You can see where it's lighting up) From this morning. @exploreuluru #exploreuluru 4d

laurenepbath Our sunset the other night out near the salt lake was just beautiful. We shot and shot well into dusk and finally trekked back through the dunes to the car. @exploreuluru #exploreuluru 4d

laurenepbath The little man and the stars. The Milky Way is so visible out here, you just look up and it's there. Lol. Good morning guys, sunrise time for me. @exploreuluru #exploreuluru 4d

laurenepbath I know it's a little off centre but that's how I like it. Kata-Tjuta as photographed from the road leading in. Lesser known than Uluru but equally spectacular! @exploreuluru #exploreuluru 5d
