laurenepbath One of the coolest things about Rainbow Beach is that it is actually a rainbow ... in a way. The nearby sand cliffs have a palette of over 70 different colored sands that are believed to have been forming since the last ice age. Like little kids my new buddy Andrew and I spent time breaking bits off, bashing them together and softening them in the ocean to dissolve the colors. It's like ochre, only sand, and indigenous stories have their own version of how the sand formed this way. @visitgympieregion #visitgympieregion 9h

laurenepbath Who wants to know about one of the coolest tourism experiences I've had in Australia this year? Bareback Horseriding in the ocean at Rainbow Beach! I actually had no idea that this was a thing but Rainbow Beach horse rides do it and I should know cause I still have the sore thighs to prove it! I will be posting many more shots from this but if you want to do something amazing I would get your butt to Rainbow Beach for this. Incidentally they have the cutest Instagram account, I'll tag it into the photo. @visitgympieregion #visitgympieregion 14h

laurenepbath From Noosa I have had the absolute PLEASURE to drive up the GREAT BEACH DRIVE, 60km of sand/ beach "highway" between Noosa and Rainbow Beach in the Gympie region. And yes, I actually physically drove the 4WD. My host had an interesting way of "hosting". Haha. I don't even know where to start ... I was actually blown away by every part of Gympie region that I visited starting with the Great Beach Drive and Rainbow Beach! This is the Carlo Sand Blow, a unique "moonscape" sand mass overlooking the rainbow sands with gorgeous views of the entire area. I LOVE IT! @visitgympieregion #visitgympieregion 18h

laurenepbath That moment when you wake up super early to do emails and look outside 45 minutes before sunrise to see this!! Needless to say it's lucky I was staying right on the beach because I was out the door in a second and capturing the pretty. Noosa Main Beach @visitnoosa #visitnoosa 1d
  •   cecilemakis Just amazing! 19h
  •   kellypackphotography Where did you stay to be that close to the beach?? @laurenepbath 19h
  •   michellemason__ You're here!! I'm sure you've got a jam packed schedule but if you can squeeze in a drink I'm doing birthday drinks at @halselodge_noosa_yha from 5pm. Just next to Hastings. 17h
  •   photosbyfarr I can just imagine myself floating in the sea. Always torn whether to take the camera or have a swim at sunrise/sunset 16h

laurenepbath Although I was only in Noosa for a day I wanted to capture some Noosa-ness and nothing yells Noosa more than this vantage point of Main Beach from the rocks. There's young and old people swimming, surfers paddling in the small swell and paddle boarders too. It's always a buzz of activity around sunset! @visitnoosa #visitnoosa 2d

laurenepbath One thing that I love about travel is the awesome food I get to experience but unfortunately most awesome food I eat is helping me to stack on the pounds. So when my Noosa buddy suggested Sunspace Cafe for lunch I was stoked! This place is vegetarian and basically organic and the food actually tastes light and healthy like it's actually good for me. We shared the crudités and dips, veggie patty and salad and a veggie curry with raw lime pie slice and fresh juice. Yum yum yum! Noosa is always good for a feed and I did also manage to catch the end of Noosa Food and Wine. @visitnoosa #visitnoosa 2d

laurenepbath I'm in Noosa!! Five days in gorgeous sunny Queensland for a change and I'm loving it! Can't wait to show off all my adventures in this gorgeous, gorgeous part of the world! PS. It's 28° and the locals are all complaining about the cold. Lol. @visitnoosa #visitnoosa 3d

laurenepbath This is me in Santa Monica. Although I loved visiting all the tourist spots during my visit to California I also loved my “local” experiences like catching a chill sunset on the beach with local instagrammers. Another latergram and a perfect way to cap off my posts for Visa's #notatourist campaign. I'm happy to have been a part of this campaign and I'm interested that there's still so many people out there preferring to travel with cash. Before I traveled for a job I was one of those people so it's pretty cool that I can start this conversation with people and ask, what do you prefer and why? I am card all the way and have been for years now. There's not much to buy out there that requires cash anymore, times are changing. Thanks to @visa_au and @visa_nz for the opportunity to spread the word. 3d

laurenepbath If you have ever wondered how I get paid to travel I've written an advice piece for Capture Magazine that's a great introduction for my new conference, "The Travel Bootcamp"! You can find the link on my profile and you can check out the conference at @thetravelbootcamp #thetravelbootcamp 3d

laurenepbath If you are ever fortunate enough to find yourself in the Yukon one of the must do activities is dog sledding. There are several amazing local operators outside of Whitehorse so do your research to get what you want. This is another latergram for Visa's #notatourist campaign. There is a massive misconception that cards attract big fee's and charges when you use them overseas and I can honestly say I have never found this to be the case. I use my card in countries all over the world because it's so important to track my spending and so convenient to carry, plus I can access my money at millions of ATMs worldwide. @Visa_Au @Visa_NZ , spread the word. ;) 4d

laurenepbath I'm sad to leave Wollongong and all the wonderful areas north and south that I've explored on the Grand Pacific Drive. This truly is a spectacular part of Australia with amazing drives, things to do and places to eat!! For my final post the gorgeous Imogen from Symbio says goodbye. @grandpacificdrive #grandpacificdrive 4d

laurenepbath I couldn't do the Grand Pacific Drive and not visit the Southern Highlands of New South Wales! We had a day of exploration up here and I wish I could tell you what this waterfall was but I didn't catch the name. We literally had one of those days of driving around and stopping when we saw pretty things! @grandpacificdrive #grandpacificdrive 4d

laurenepbath The Grand Pacific Drive isn't just a gorgeous road trip with places to swim, visit waterfalls, hike, take photos (obviously), but it's also full of great places to eat! I couldn't believe the quality of the meals we were having and I mean every meal not just the two cafes we photographed! This is the Hungry Monkey in Kiama and we absolutely smashed everything pictured. I was a "good girl" and ordered avocado on toast but to be honest I ended up helping Garry with his pancake! @grandpacificdrive #grandpacificdrive 5d

laurenepbath I can't believe I'm doing the cave shot/ small person but seriously, who can resist this composition? The last time I was in this cave was with miss Jewelszee and I have to say that was not a relaxing experience as the water was coming in and it was a teeny bit claustrophobic. Lol. Although I got wet to my waist and a little splashed it was completely safe and it's a great perspective of Cathedral Rocks. @grandpacificdrive #grandpacificdrive 6d

laurenepbath The famous Wollongong tree and honestly you wouldn't know it if you drove past it! We visited this beauty at sunset for that silhouette, the long shadows and hint of sun flare. I can't imagine doing a trip down south without Will Patino in the car showing us all his favorite landscape spots! @grandpacificdrive #grandpacificdrive 6d
