laurenepbath Here's the other lavender shot that everyone asked for. I think I shot these fields literally from every single angle. Lol. @flightcentreau #flightcentre_france 22h

laurenepbath I posted this on my Facebook page yesterday and was asked to post it here as well - Provence bee hives, so pretty! @FlightCentreAu #FlightCentre_France 1d

laurenepbath And this picture basically sums up why we travel, for me this is absolutely worlds apart from what I see daily in Australia. Costa Brava was just lovely and I’m glad we made the effort to venture out of Barcelona. See you next time Spain! @FlightCentreAu #FlightCentre_Spain 1d

laurenepbath I had to go for the classic through the CASTLE WALL shot in Costa Brava. That’s right – there’s a castle. And an adorable little bay. *Sigh.

laurenepbath On my second last day in Barcelona mum and I decided to hire a driver and venture up the coast to popular coastal region Costa Brava. It was an early start so I could make my sunrise. (I’m such an addict, haha) Early morning scenes like this always justify the alarm. @FlightCentreAu

laurenepbath I've literally just posted 25 full sized lavender/ sunflower shots on my Facebook page - "Pirie Bath Photography". The link is in my bio if you want to see some pretty shots. :) 2d

laurenepbath I stumbled across this little alleyway close to tourist hot spot “Las Ramblas”. I don’t know why but I felt compelled to shoot here and my patience was rewarded when this adorable little girl ran past me from nowhere. Check Facebook for loads of European photos! laurenepbath One of my favorite days spent in Barcelona with mum was definitely the day we explored Boqueria Market. As an ex chef I love markets at the best of times but these ones were insane! I couldn’t decide between sharing a photo of piles of fruit or piles of candy! Lol. (I went with the healthier option) @FlightCentreAu #FlightCentre_Spain 2d

laurenepbath More sightseeing! On our sightseeing days I didn’t like to use the camera too much but I couldn’t resist this shot of mum at Park Guell. For those planning to visit Barcelona don’t forget to book your spot to enter the park – I wrongly assumed there would be spots left if I just arrived and had to go back the next day. Oops. Definitely worth the effort though. @FlightCentreAu #FlightCentre_Spain 3d

laurenepbath And what trip overseas is complete without some epic skyporn? I woke
up on my first day in Barcelona and caught a taxi to the beachfront to see how it compared to my Aussie beaches. Pretty well as you can see. Haha. @FlightCentreAu #FlightCentre_Spain

laurenepbath Barcelona, Spain! This was my mum’s dream destination and we are
definitely planning our next trip to Spain! A few short nights in Barcelona was nowhere near close to being enough. This is the Fonts de Montjuïc, which wasn’t running on the day I went. Instead I opted for a great reflection shot of the impressive details. @FlightCentreAu#FlightCentre_Spain

  •   laurenepbath @nicckers I'm sure you will, you love to travel!! :) 2d
  •   laurenepbath @markhanlon72 I will definitely return! How does the UK compare to Australia? :) 2d
  •   laurenepbath @jpuntas I'll let you know - I had @ovunno showing me around a fair bit. :) 2d
  •   laurenepbath @whereswiwi haha. I was lucky in that respect. I totally loved Barcelona! :) 2d
  •   xiahua24 Lovely :) 2d
  •   alessandra_ginefra Y love 2d
  •   markhanlon72 @laurenepbath The UK is good for me work wise. Being here 11 years now I am settled, but I'm definitely still an Aussie. Travel wise it's fantastic being on Europe's door step and I've made full advantage of it. I'm currently in Florida on holidays which is a manageable 8 hour flight from London - another perk of living on this side of the world. I do however miss Australia and that will always be my home. 2d

laurenepbath And here she is – my mum! Arguably the best person in the world! Mum
has been a big supporter of my work, my career transition and still looks after me when I need it. It was my privilege to explore Europe with her and I hope it’s just the first of many overseas trips for us. @FlightCentreAu makes dreams a reality – there is absolutely no way I could have organized a trip this size with my busy schedule. #FlightCentre_France

laurenepbath In addition to the lavender and sunflowers Provence is actually still really beautiful with the regular colored crops. I was especially interested in photographing this cute falling down barn lost in a field of wheat. I just needed another Instagrammer there with me to pose. Haha. @FlightCentreAu #FlightCentre_France 4d

laurenepbath For those that don’t believe me – this is lavender NEXT to sunflowers. And
just to make the entire scene even more beautiful – quaint little wooden bee houses. I think I would love to eat that honey! @FlightCentreAu

laurenepbath I may have also forgotten to mention that the lavender fields in
Provence sit side by side with sunflower fields!!! I mean can this place be any more “Instagrammable”? And hey, I love our Aussie sunflower fields but this place has LAVENDER NEXT TO SUNFLOWERS! Haha. @FlightCentreAu #FlightCentre_France

laurenepbath Sooooooo, did I mention that mum and I went to Provence so that I could photograph the flowering lavender fields? I’m not going to lie; this was kind of a photography high point for me. Imagine that in every direction you look the views are so stunning you can’t take a bad picture if you try?! This was a great day for me because it gave mum a chance to see me in “landscape photographer” mode. She was suitably impressed. Lol. @FlightCentreAu #FlightCentre_France 4d

laurenepbath Like every tourist that visits Paris I took about a million photos of the ‘
Eiffel Tower. Rather than bore you with every one of them I have chosen my favorite – because it’s an angle not many photographers go for, the “underbelly of the beast” haha. Shot on dusk with my Paris friend @juanjerez keeping me company. @FlightCentreAu #FlightCentre_France

laurenepbath I really like this scene, it’s a street in Montmartre where mum and I took a guided walking tour. The area has a lot of history and we spent a very enjoyable 2 hours learning more about it. See! How would I have had time to Instagram when I was enjoying this? ;) @FlightCentreAu#FlightCentre_France 5d

laurenepbath What trip to France would be complete without some sightseeing? Mum and I had to hit all the usual spots – the Louvre (pictured), La Basilique du Sacré Cœur de Montmartre, Notre Dam and the Eiffel Tower were amongst a few of the places we hit. Even though it’s busy and there are lines and people it’s all just worth it. Paris is the most historical place I’ve ever visited and I loved every minute. @FlightCentreAu#FlightCentre_France 5d
  •   laurenepbath @christinesalz I've heard Rome is amazing - my mum went after I went home :) 5d
  •   laurenepbath @mrk60 thanks a lot - it's a bit different :) 5d
  •   laurenepbath @sd_shereedornan absolutely - it's really so wonderful. No other way to describe it! 5d
  •   laurenepbath @cardenas_morgane thanks for the great advice! I did get to Provence but only quickly- shots to come :) 5d
  •   neat0304 Chloe has loved every minute, lucky thing! I can't wait to see her photos and give her a big arse hug when she gets off the plane! I can only imagine your photos there! 5d
  •   cardenas_morgane That s great! Cant wait to see the pics :) hope you enjoyed being in that part of France 5d
  •   anaiisweimer Paris is not my favorite city, even the architecture and the louvre are really really beautiful ! I spent a good time in that museum. But if you get a chance to travel in the east part of France, you should go to Strasbourg where there is the European Parliament. (In case, my mum has a B&B not fareway from this city). Anyway, enjoy your time in this country :) 4d
  •   ciara_cat It's a very pretty city, and easy to get around. Love the old French towns too. 3d
