laserone Wrote this in the back of a notebook a few days ago when I was taking notes. Memories of being a tiny little girl in Freehold New Jersey in the early 70's and bending over to smell the tulips that were growing in front of our house in the spring. #notebook #handwriting #cursive #longhand #script #poem #freeholdnj #tulips #journal 5d

laserone Oh my God I found a journal from 1988. I had to write it for English class my first year of college. I can't believe how different my handwriting was! Not to mention how different *I*was. #oldjournal #olddiary #journal #diary #journalpage #handwriting #script #cursive #1988 #1980s #80s 2w

laserone In bed with vertigo (where the room spins). I'm so sick of it!!!!!! 3w
  •   swflgardener It's just been made available over the counter. One spray straight up and one spray angled toward the ear...each nostril of course, lol. It helps clear the ear canals. It helps some, worth a try... 3w
  •   swflgardener Oh, geesh, it caused it, then maybe a spray wouldn't work for you. Did you try those positional exercises? Do you have a positional type of vertigo do you know? 3w
  •   swflgardener Doc told me I had vertigo from a virus and would be gone in 1 wk. Bull...it was 6 months of different degrees of vertigo, horrible. That was years ago and I still have bouts off and on. Just so incapacitating! 3w
  •   laserone Yeah, I have bppv. Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. Had it on and off for many years. Even been to physical therapy for it. But the problem with physio is that the waiting list is so long you can't get in when you actually HAVE it. I've been like 3 times. I can try that spray because it might be a different one than I used before. My general dr thinks a virus causes it because all of his vertigo patients will come in at the same time. I went to a chiropractor once who specialized in natural healing and she said it was caused by a virus, too. But I could not afford to go back to her for treatment. She was so expensive. Our medical system sucks. @swflgardener 3w
  •   laserone @swflgardener one lady I know gets it all the time as well and her recommendation is to drink a lot of water and take a lot of vitamin C. Another girl who is a pharmacy technician also suffered from it a lot and she recommended this stuff that you can buy over the counter but if you buy it at the pharmacy they have a larger bottle behind the counter of a different brand that is much much much cheaper. Its over the counter but they keep it behind the counter in the pharmacy so you have to ask for it. The brand is "rugby" and the bottle says "travel sickness". And it's meclizine. If you get Dramamine over the counter it's the same thing but you pay a hell of a lot more for just a few pills. 3w
  •   laserone @swflgardener I am like you, once I have a bad bout of vertigo, I suffer after effects for a long long time, like months. And it sounds similar to you where the Vertigo will mostly be gone but if I bend over or look up or tilt my head the room will spin, also every time I get in or out of bed or roll over. It can be hell. 3w
  •   swflgardener Hey thanks for the dramamine generic, I had no idea and will ask for it next time I'm in! The Flonase might have a generic I haven't checked yet but I'm on my last subscription bottle so will be looking for that too. Yeah, I even get vertigo when the dentist uses the slow drill...something about the vibration, nobody seems to have encountered it before me, it seems! Needless to say I hate the dentist, lol! Hope you g e t some relief, but know you're not alone and I'll let you know if I come across anything else that helps...even a little! 3w
