  •   larryransom @notlikeyoufanzine You will be hit. 3w
  •   skateordonothing Awesome @larryransom !Painter and professor, Jim Herbert, made that REM video. He has always had an appreciation for skaters. As a grad student he called me out on it within five minutes of our first conversation. First meeting him I didn't want to bombard him with questions about that video but he brought up skating so I dug in. Amazing individual. 3w
  •   larryransom @skateordonothing Awesome! Noah rules and I'm pretty sure Jim is mentioned in the interview. Haven't read it in a minute. 3w
  •   jonathandavid82 Larry, the screening was a blast! The Lockport footage reminded me of when I first started skating in Williamsville. 16 years old, it was a hike to make it to Lockport but we were on an endless quest for concrete! The mag is killer too! Avenue Skates is a deep part of Wny!!!! 3w
  •   larryransom @jonathandavid82 That was a blast! Thank you so much for coming. I love Avenue Skate. A huge part of Buffalo skate history for sure. 3w

larryransom When you're in your hometown for a week and late nights are spent driving around looking at old shit, you might as well do it with some style. Shout out to @eshugats for the use of his '88 Chevy Monte Carlo SS all week. It's so choice. If you have the means, I highly suggest picking one up. 4w

larryransom You never know who is going to show up. This is Marti Cattoni. Marti and her husband Steve opened Star Ryder Roller Skate Shop in Buffalo, NY in the 1970s. In 1978 they started selling skateboards and changed the store's name to Avenue Skates. And the rest is history. 4w
