laracameron The good sleeping times were sadly short lived. It's time to get educated; off to sleep school TOMORROW! After a 2 month wait I'm half relieved, half nervous. 1w
  •   allsubtext Aww good luck ladies! Wishing you many 1w
  •   gjandk I did sleep school with BOTH of my girls. Best thing I did for them - and me. Was super anxious the first time but got over that quick smart and wanted to hug everyone when I left! All the best to you two. X 1w
  •   shell_mcclure Good luck! Two of my Mum's group friends went to Masada with their babes, it worked for them. They looked so happy when they returned 1w
  •   nancybirdaccessories Good luck Lara! Xx 1w
  •   cemarakipas Lovely baby! 1w
  •   mildlycrafty Sleep school helped Finn and I. You'll be fine. Just be prepared for a lot of crying! Take earplugs! (To block out other babies crying, not yours!) 1w
  •   mildlycrafty She's very cute. So much hair! 1w
  •   juicyroo She doesn't look like she'd cause any grief whatsoever. That's nature's miracle at work hey?! So cute Larz. 1w

laracameron I won't sugar coat it - I've found motherhood so far to be really quite tough. Addy hasn't given us many "free rides", never liking the car, pram, dummy; all those things that babies are usually soothed by. This week however we had a bit of a breakthrough with her sleep whilst up in QLD with family. So I've decided to let this beloved man (pictured here eating my daughter) return to Melb whilst I stay on with the folks for a few days. This might not sound like a huge "brave" thing to do, but for me it's mildly terrifying. Wish us luck! 3w
  •   laracameron @bobishi yes same here! Can't leave the house without a good supply of bibs, and explosive poos if I even look at dairy. We had a sleep lady come to the house and she helped heaps but always keen for recommendations in case things go bad again. Thank you :) 3w
  •   laracameron @juicyroo hehehe it does and it is :) thank you lovey xxx 3w
  •   bobishi @laracameron that sucks!! My little ladies are allergic to dairy, soy, eggs, gluten and tropical fruits and things like coconuts! Lucky poppy grew out of it:) we also use probiotics and glucosamine with different medications and a prescription formula and it seems to be getting better slowly? And chiropractor seems to be helping a bit? :) sleep lady is.... Www.happybabysleep.com.au and if you need any help with the vomiting and poo explosions we use the naturopath Carla Wrenn at peninsula herbal dispensary in mornington - far from you but she does phone consults:) she is my sister and her babies were the same so she gets it:) 3w
  •   ljloveisyourcompass @laracameron Aw gorgeous Lara. I can really empathise. This motherhood gig can be so so hard. I know our lovely photos of Ren are of him smiling but he really pushed us to our limits with sleep especially. No one can prepare you for it and I know everyone's journey is different but it's so refreshing to share that things aren't all roses all the time or sometimes none of the time! We really turned a corner at 14 months. That probably seems like an age away but things just got easier and easier (and I never thought I'd say that). Please know that every day, you are doing amazingly. Even when you don't think you are, you are. Just go easy on yourself. xxxxx 3w
  •   tuppenny_farm :-) take all the help you can get xxxx 2w
  •   thecraftsessions You are doing great. And I totally get how scary that would be xx 2w

laracameron Finally bubs has decided to start sleeping in the pram since we put her upright and facing out, yay! Today we adventured around merri creek and collected reference material for a project. 1mon
  •   littlepapaya My first child NEVER fell asleep in the pram, in any configuration ... I envied every other mother who's baby slept in the pram ... ergo for her! 1mon
  •   allsubtext Zia never took to the flat bassinet in her pram. Switching to regular stroller with a 'snug seat' liner did the trick at about 6 weeks. I think lots of babes dislike the flat pram! 1mon
  •   elizabethbarnett He goes through phases of sleeping in the car/pram and not sleeping in it. It's so frustrating because I think I've cracked the code to his sleep and then it changes! Mostly he has never slept in the car though. I can count the times on one hand. It's taken me 14 months to come to terms with it... Not sure I've even come to terms with it even!! They are all so different... 1mon
  •   laracameron @littlepapaya oh no! I feel your pain, we had her in the ergo for pretty much every day sleep for a month or so. But I was going crazy doing that... 1mon
  •   laracameron @elizabethbarnett damn babies! That sounds terrible. We're off on a holiday next week and I'm crossing fingers she learns to sleep in the car :/ 1mon
  •   laracameron @allsubtext ha! Good move. Yeah I reckon the flat bassinet is probably pretty boring... 1mon
  •   elizabethbarnett Good luck!! 1mon
  •   elfinandisla @laracameron Isla is 4 and I can count the number of times she fell asleep in her carseat or stroller on one hand! Yay for sleeping babies :-) 1mon

laracameron ...and now the model has woken from her nap. Still a bit of growing to do :) 2mon

  •   daydreamlily My goodness you've made a cute little baby! So gorgeous. And so much hair! Little munchkin. I'm searching the knitting book you mentioned. Looking for patterns as my mum loves knitting. 2mon
  •   laracameron @daydreamlily hehe thank you! Hopefully you can find it. Mum found it very satisfying to knit because it's so tiny. Quicker gratification :) 2mon
  •   haylez16 She is adorable! 2mon

laracameron I didn't think I'd be the type of mother who dresses her daughter in pink. And then I found myself commissioning cute knitted things like this from my mum. 2mon
  •   thequiethedonist I was the same but my bebe looks lovely in pastel pink. Any other pink is still on the outer though. Gorgeous cardy 2mon
  •   ameeliah Yeah same. Then she came out looking really good in pastels. 2mon
  •   shell_mcclure Very pretty! My opinion changed on so many things post baby! 2mon
  •   littleletters This is a nice pink though. 2mon
  •   daydreamlily So I've been checking out Sirdar patterns, are they considered Australian. My Mum keeps saying she only knows Australian patterns. I m guess that means she would also understand UK patterns? 1mon
  •   laracameron @daydreamlily I reckon so. I showed my mum a site with US patterns and she wasn't comfortable with them so I assume she feels the same as your mum :) 1mon
  •   laracameron @daydreamlily and yeah I guess UK and Australian ones are similar... 1mon
  •   daydreamlily I'm thinking so too, Australian must be UK knitting terms / measurements. Mum loves knitting for Isabel so I've been finding her patterns. Thanks for the help lovely. 1mon

laracameron In the post today! There are a few people who were so so instrumental in getting me through the first few weeks of Addy's life, and when I discovered @nectarandstone's beautiful work I knew they'd make perfect gifts. 2mon
  •   bvanmeeuwen Yuuuum & pretty!! 2mon
  •   seasonallynourished Oh wow. I need to find some of those where I live! 2mon
  •   norma_and_george @hippocampus_memorable_drinks ... Why Yes, yes I do luff extremely bodacious chocolate. What a great idea, and so small to fit in your hand luggage too! You shouldn't have x 2mon
  •   thequiethedonist Beautiful idea. Hope you're back on track now. I'm still getting there and mines just gone 6 months. For so many mums, babies arrival is far far from anything you could imagine. Adelaide is gorgeous. 2mon
  •   elfinandisla They look beautiful and yummy too! 2mon
