ladzinski Evening life at high camp in #UaPoa generally consisted of the same thing after getting off the wall: - a quick wipe down with old clothing that was debatably cleaner then what you were wearing
- a dehydrated meal
- recharging gear
- in bed by 7:30 to hide from the inevitable rain
Nothing like hard work in the jungle with good friends @andy_mann @angelajpayne @mikelibecki @dell @mountainhardwear @goalzero @3stringsproductions

ladzinski Tricks of the trade and the muddy truth. @mikelibecki fanning out his aid pro of beaks from his previous pitch on #Poumaka Tower. Solid A4 and super sketchy. Mike took a few big falls on the trip, but pushed hard to the summit during an incredible first ascent with @angelajpayne. @andy_mann @dell @goalzero @mountainhardwear @3stringsproductions 1d

ladzinski A perfectly camouflaged kukupoa sits perched in a tree high above the jungle canopy in #UaPoa. These birds were nearly impossible to spot unless you saw them fly into land. @andy_mann @mikelibecki @angelajpayne @3stringsproductions 2d

The weather has been full on here in #UaPoa keeping the team drenched, muddy and full of unpredictable adventure. @andy_mann @dell @mountainhardwear @goalzero @3stringsproductions 3d

ladzinski Poumaka Tower has proved to be a lot more difficult then originally expected. The constant rain here in #UaPoa has kept us on our toes but progress has been steady. Fingers crossed this week during another wet forecast! @mikelibecki @angelajpayne @andy_mann @dell @goalzero @3stringsproductions 1w

ladzinski #AntelopeCanyon is without a doubt one of the most uniquely formed slot canyons out there. There's no better time to visit then in the winter when the crowds have subsided, if you're lucky you can sometimes get the canyon to yourself. This photo was taken December 2009 on a quite afternoon. I hope to return someday soon. @natgeocreative 3w

ladzinski I've been testing various continuos lighting sources over the last couple months for lightweight video options. @jono_schwan was kind enough to throw down for me a few weeks ago at twilight and we got s lot of great stuff, here's a quick clip. @3stringsproductions 4w

ladzinski August 2013 - #MikeLibecki looking up in awe at #ShiptonsArch near the border of western China. I've had some amazing adventures with Mike over the years, and on Monday I'm off for another one to another remote location. He's without a doubt one of the great explorers of our time, always looking to push further and deeper into new places. @mountainhardwear @goalzero @3stringsproductions #dedicatedDecade 4w

ladzinski Lisa Rands warming up on "Roof on Fire" (v5) in South Africa's #Rocklands, May 2006. When I first saw this line I immediately knew how I wanted to photograph it, but how was the real issue. Organizing the lighting to get under the roof wasn't simple, it took the better part of 3 hours due to the cramped area and Cliff on the other side of the arch. But I like a good puzzle. The blasting sun behind Lisa was also a problem so I decided to use a technique I had been using for about a year, and one I had originally seen my friends @joeyterrill and @daveblackphoto use. These two guys are truly masters of light and huge inspirations to me. The technique is simply using a tungsten white balance, ie very blue white balance, and using orange CT gels on your flashes/strobes. The result is a warm scene anywhere your light source (flashes) hits, and a very blue ambient surrounding where the flash isn't hitting. In this instance it creates a kind of full moon style hue. #dedicatedDecade 4w

ladzinski The base of #NiagraFalls in the winter is a pretty wild place to see. The spray from the enormous surrounding waterfalls has coated the entire landscape in a venire of clear ice, crystallizing everything. It was a place I could have photographed for days on end and am really thankful to have had a couple days down in this limited access area. @redbull @realwillgadd @christianpondella @greg_mionske 1mon

ladzinski The #SintraForest in Portugal just feels prehistoric, even more so when the fog rolls in. In 2009 I was lucky enough to spend 3 weeks in Portugal with @christopherweidner getting the grand tour from @leo_faria up the coast visiting a handful of incredible climbing areas. We spent a single afternoon here in Sintra, it's a place I definitely would like to visit again someday. @natgeocreative #dedicatedDecade 1mon

ladzinski It's hard to beat the combination of yellow and blue. The dramatic effect that opposite colors create emotionally in an image is always interesting to look at, and in the case of blue and yellow, the feeling of cold and warm. Beams in general are just incredible to look at, they're awe inspiring. I shot this photo about a year ago to the day, standing on a Mesa looking out over Hurricane Utah. It was one of those great evenings with the sunlight shining through the moving cracks in the sky and rolling across the landscape far below. @natgeocreative #dedicatedDecade 1mon

ladzinski Torres Del Paine National Park is a place I had wanted to visit since 1998 when I saw a photo of this range in a hotel lobby. In January of 2014 @blackdiamond sent @andy_mann and I to Patagonia to shoot a catalog and create 2 short films for them. I was incredibly excited, not only because it was a dream to see the Fitzroy Range, but also because torres del paine was only 6 hours away. I convinced Andy that we should stay an extra few days extra and drive to Chile to shoot some photos and take some down time. Word spread around in El Chalten that we were heading down there and before we knew it we had a group of seven other friends in the area that wanted to tag along as well. It was a great time and this place left a strong urge in me to want to return soon. #6 #dedicatedDecade 1mon
