.Have you ever noticed any little black squares, or plain white rectangles around town? Any? Ever? In our cities filled with ads, posters, signs, billboards & notices everywhere, a plain, empty square or rectangle is a rare oasis of visual calm in our visually hectic worlds. .
.Influenced by Malevich's Black Square this is the premise of artist David Batchelor's "Found Monochromes" - a free exhibition at @whitechapelgallery. If you look... really look you'll see them, hiding in plain sight, and they're wonderful! Expect to see more of these in future, so..... watch this space!
