kidgiddy Finally had a chance to visit @clementinemaine while we were on vacation last week. Loved this #embroideryhoop in the window with Velcro hours.

kidgiddy A little Sunday coloring. I've had this idea for more than a year now. All I needed was a little @aprilarhodes #BOUNDfabrics to get it out on paper.

kidgiddy Putting a basic serged edge on this beautiful @annamariahorner #thistle print to add to my scarf collection. Do prefer infinity or straight scarves?
#sewingknits
3d
  •   phatbobbingirl This would look fantastic as an infinity scarf. 3d
  •   chloe_iris Infinity! Makes me nutty having the ends of straight scarves blowing away in the wind, always coming undone 3d
  •   jeifner In fabric I prefer infinity, yarn-straight 3d
  •   pmindelray Infinity! 3d
  •   wildboho Definitely infinity! 3d
  •   dfwilson_yak Infinity! You don't have to worry about them falling off or going wonky around your neck. 3d
  •   sylvialouise Straight gives me more versatility. Plus, you can always tie the corners together long ways & make it like an infinity. 3d

kidgiddy Saw this #modularstar or #icosohedron out in the wild. I think I need to get one for my garden since I made a similar one out of fabric.

kidgiddy I'm so excited to be one of the bloggers teaming up with @gnomeangel and @fatquartershop for the #FQS1930FarmersWife quilt along! Are you joining in? I'll be using some fabrics from my stash and will get more fabrics as I go along from FQS.

kidgiddy Sometimes I have these really stupid fears and voices telling me I can't do something - so I procrastinate and put it off to avoid the what if the voice was true. This is one of those things I've simply never done! A Japanese coin purse - so grateful @zakkaworkshop offered to send me some to make. It may sound ridiculous - but please don't judge - facing fears (big or small) is one of the hardest thing we have to do. Just putting that out there.

  •   birdinanest000 I am the same way. Once I realize I'm doing that I step back and usually realize I should just do it. But I often seem to have this absorption period. 2w
  •   merel_birdblocks Oh so recognised. Try thinking what if it Does go wrong.... what if, so you screwed up some small pieces of fabric, some time and the metal thingy. That's all. You can still eat, live and laugh. And even cut the fabrics apart and throw them in your scrapbasket. Just start. And realise failing is part of learning. If it (anything) did not take learning life would get boring really fast :-) go you can do it, or learn to do it 2w
  •   msthingsmith I do the same thing. I like to step back and learn everything I can about the project. That usually gives me the push I need. 2w
  •   dfwilson_yak Thank you so much for sharing. For me, it's so inspiring to hear that someone as successful and talented as you are has fears and insecurities too! 2w
  •   the_littlest_thistle You've totally got this 2w
  •   kakiofhoneyhill I totally agree! Facing fears takes great strength, no matter how small the task my seem. One step at a time, seam ripper close by, read & re-read directions at least 50 times and then close your eyes and GET IT!! 2w
  •   sewin4him I'm the same way. And then when I finally tackle the thing causing me fear/anxiety, it's normally one of my favorite projects! 2w
  •   zakkaworkshop Thanks @kidgiddy...looks like you are already off to a great start. Can't wait to see how it turns out! 2w
