keropokman Never mind the thunder and lightning outside. Let's have some sausage and ham soup. Aka Army Stew. Think it's missing some ingredients like cheese and pork belly. Maybe weekend is a good time to make it at home. Hehe. 3d

keropokman After looking at laksa leaves, now eating some laksa!
Laksa here at 'Escape Restaurant' at @onefarrerhotelandspa is for those who loves it thick (say viscosity of 10 centipoise haha) - gao gao. I know not everyone likes it like that. I do! The prawns, fishcake, hard oiled egg all hidden below the taukwa and sambal and dried laksa leaves.

keropokman Without looking at the sign, do you know what plant is it? Daun Kesum!
Or we commonly call it Laksa Leaves. Scientific name: Persicaria odorata. Pick some up, rub the leaves and you instantly want to have some laksa!
Had a tour of 'The Farm' at @onefarrerhotelandspa. Peranakan loves their sour bilimbing and I see a fruiting tree here! They also have the 'magic fruit'. So eye opening!

keropokman This is only one section of the 11,000 square feet urban farm by @OneFarrerHotelAndSpa. You walk around and it smells really good. I even saw one durian tree!!! Oh they are all organic too! No chemical fertilizers used. 4d

keropokman Do you know where is Singapore's largest urban farm? At 11,000 The Farm sits on top of the ball room of @OneFarrerHotelAndSpa. I only have 5 different edible at home. They have around 120 different plants and herbs that they use for their restaurants and classes. 4d
  •   keropokman @wokkingmum if only our HDB gardens is so huge hor! I used to join the community garden but baby is out, too lazy to walk to the garden. Just tend to plants at home instead. Hehe. 4d
  •   wokkingmum Ya! Maybe open up the roof top for gardening. But I think have to wait long long. 😧 Wait for baby to grow up and she can join you at the community garden. 4d

keropokman Coz food coloring made things beautiful to Instagram. Hahaha... Also coz it's so hot lah.
Anyone knows the waffle cone is worth upgrading or not? The McD aunty was asking me if I want brown or green. I didn't know she was asking for waffle, so I said green.

keropokman Oh.... if you happen to be a certified ISO auditor (ahem like yours truly but for certain ISO only lah), you might be pleased to know that this @wmf_sg knife blade exceed twice the requirements of the ISO 8442-5 for sharpness and cutting performance. So #geeky. 5d

keropokman The newest addition to the kitchen is they @WMF_sg Made in Germany, limited edition Spitzenklasse 1985 Chef’s knife. This is the classic range for the WMF knife and it stays very sharp.
I remember long ago my mum said why you spend so much money buying expensive ‘knives’? Her knives and choppers don’t cost so much as she knows how to sharpen them.
Well for me, after more than 10 years, I am still using those knives, that’s why. I don't know how to sharpen knives using my mum or uncle's method. I am using those modern sharpeners that knife snobs will detest. LOL.
When we were holidaying in Perth recently, we went to an olive plantation, other than olives we also saw things made with olive wood and we ‘wah.....’ at the products. Well, this knife here has the triple-riveted olive wood handle!
Sui bor?

keropokman When I carried this plate around the desserts area, the pastry staff said what you are missing is the chocolate ice cream. She saw that I have almost everything chocolate except the Canelé and Mini Lemon and Passion Fruit Tart. The most yummy is the 3 different type of Nama Chocolates in the middle. You got to open the chilled display fridge to get it. Addictive. 5d
