kellyannstrong It is hard to believe it has been a whole month since this little man made his big debut! Already he is holding his head up and pushing or kicking off while being held, trying to turn over, enjoying tummy time, smiling at familiar faces and voices, cooing and making chatter noises, sticking his tongue out when prompted, making smooth intentional movements with his arms and legs, and tracking objects in his line of focus! Seeing how quickly he is developing and how strong he already is, I'm going to have to start baby-proofing the apartment sooner than planned. Happy 1 month Henry! 26min

kellyannstrong Enjoying a few birthday suit stretches in bed before getting dressed for our big road trip! I can't wait until Henry is big enough to fit into his adorable cloth diapers, although this trip is probably going to be easier with disposables so that's a plus! 4d

kellyannstrong It's still hard to fathom that I made this tiny human. Three weeks and four days in, and I am so in love with my little man. 6d

kellyannstrong Why carry your baby, when you can wear your baby? It only took two tries to get my boba wrap on tight enough to securely hold this little baby Houdini! 2w

kellyannstrong Some quality father son bonding before Ben leaves for his final at sea training period tomorrow. These next two weeks will serve as an interesting crash course of how life alone with Henry will be while Ben is gone on the deployment. 2w

kellyannstrong I just about have Henry convinced that his hands are gone forever. This time I hid them under his whale onesie. 2w

kellyannstrong Daddy's first day back at work hasn't been too eventful for us here at home... except when I made Henry's hands disappear under his bear jammies and he was confused for a solid 15 minutes 3w

kellyannstrong How can he feel so small and so big in my arms, all at once? I may have delayed putting him down in his crib for a few minutes to enjoy his snuggles a little longer than planned. 3w

kellyannstrong Some days have been rough, most nights are proving to be even more difficult... Other days, like today, my 10 day old chubby faced angel quickly goes down for every nap in his crib without a hitch. Let's hope this sleep schedule is actually starting to work, thanks to months of my research and preparation. 3w

kellyannstrong Three generations of Stewart men, all decked out in their Chicago gear! Some would say they are setting up a third generation of Cubbies fans for a lifetime of disappointment... I don't care who we're cheering for, but where's my hotdog? 3w

kellyannstrong Almost exactly a week ago I snapped this picture of our newborn baby Henry in the hospital, sleeping in my lap after another difficult 3 am feeding. I can't say it has gotten any easier since then, struggling as he learns how to be a baby and I learn how to be a mom. I lay here awake at 5 am on Easter morning, obsessively watching him sleep in his crib on the baby monitor and I can't hold back these tears of pure adoration, joy, exhaustion and terror, knowing this amazing miracle is ours to love and protect forever. 3w

kellyannstrong Henry is not tired. Clearly the giant yawns, droopy eyes and whines are because Henry is not tired. 3w

kellyannstrong This morning Henry and I decided it was time to practice his pitcher's wind-up form. Is 5 days old too young to start contacting scouts to talk about a future in professional sports? 4w
