karaphotogirl Homework....it's whatcha do #ifyoureakid trying to capture life as it happens. I want my kids to remember the every day moments of childhood, school days, and just being. So more 'in the moment' photos is my goal this year with them... No matter how boring. And I'll capture Ty in his every day moments of he'll let me (hint hint Ty, if you're reading this 🏻). 3d
  •   byjess Love those moments but so hard to get the teenagers in the shot. Most of the time people think I have 2 kids but I have 5 because the teenagers won't let me photograph them...but they'll snapchat photos of themselves all day long 3d

karaphotogirl From the looks of it...the water is a bit cold. First swim of the season. The pool was 80 degrees, but I think we expect it to be warmer in AZ 1w

karaphotogirl I was working in my office when Jeff called and told me to look outside. I went to the backyard and the sky was lit with orange and pinks with blue and purple. The colors of the sky lit up the backyard. It lasted only minutes, so I stayed and watched as the hues quickly shifted. Changes happen quickly…too quickly, soak in everyday. I know there are many days that I miss yesterday. When you’re in the trenches of life ‘now’ you forget to be thankful for what you have no matter how mundane and routine it may be. I miss the mundane, busy, stressful toddler days. They were hard, challenging, fun and exhausting. In the moment I wish I soaked them in more. I’m trying to soak in the tween/early teen years now…I know I’ll miss these crazy, great, hard, stressful and busy times when they’re gone. I know I say this a lot, but it’s constantly on my mind. Live and love the now, you have more than you think you do. Don't take any of it for granted. 2w
  •   hollybrimhall It was amazing tonight!!! 2w
  •   jasminesargent Love that advice. I'm in the trying, stressful toddler years and lose my patience all too often. But I'm trying to remind myself that I'm really going to miss these times. 2w

karaphotogirl I cut 4 1/2 inches off my hair. Mostly in the back where it was a lot longer than the front. So it's ever so slightly inverted. This is the shortest I've had it in 10 years. I think I want one more inch off...still deciding. Oh and I'm really not going for a 'come hither' look in this photo, I'm just super uncomfortable with selfies 2w

karaphotogirl Big Foot. Obviously this lens choice exaggerates it but his size 13 1/2 shoe is still pretty big. Jeff is size 15 so Ty's feet may still be growing. Love my boy and his big feet 2w

karaphotogirl Hearing about way too much tragedy lately, and it's keeping me up at night. Life is fragile and sometimes we take each day for granted. Hearing about loss just makes me want to keep my kids close. I want to breathe them in, hold them, hug them and never look away. It's weird to think that this life is on loan...we don't know how much time we have left. The thought scares me and I'm reminded of it whenever I hear of tragedy and loss. Enjoy today. Enjoy every minute of every day. 3w

karaphotogirl it's the desert. We won't be able to touch the street with the heat in less than a month. It was 95 yesterday but by the evening the street was just super warm. Perfect evening to play outside. 3w
