kaipo81 It's one thing to say we live, then we die. It's another thing to realize the two are synonymous. One cannot exist without the other. So by all means, live! 2d

kaipo81 This is Yvonne. She believes that the future of the California landscape is in it's native plants. Plants that don't require much water. As she holds the seeds of a buckwheat bush we notice the lines of age and experience and their expression of care. 1w

kaipo81 This is Gehrig. He's a student in Mrs. Herrmann's (@herrmannater ) 9th grade class. This was taken in front of the California Science Center. Gehrig teaches us an invaluable lesson...don't underestimate the power of climbing random things. It's fun! 1mon

kaipo81 There's a place completely different than here. A strange but, familiar place. Where what appears chaotic is harmonious. Where rules of the land don't apply. A place I go to find solace. 1mon

kaipo81 This is Macy. She's a 3rd grader at the school where my wife teaches. As a way to raise funds, the school holds an auction once a year. Many people contribute time and resources to make it a success. This year Macy's parents bid for a photo shoot with me. All proceeds go to the school. And Macy did great! 1mon

kaipo81 It's been said, we fear what we don't understand. But, how can one fear what isn't fully understood? By that definition, it seems fear is irrational. And the appropriate response is fearless inquiry. 1mon

kaipo81 I love baby feet. These little nubs belong to Clark. They remind me of my children's feet when they were that age. When you could nibble on them. Before they developed their own unique odor. 1mon

kaipo81 We've heard it said, "time flies." This is a recent version of a photo I took two years earlier at the same place. Perhaps, it's not that time flies but, that we've forgotten to embrace it. 2mon

kaipo81 He told us about the bamboo in Bali, where he grew up. He told us about the tall trees he would climb and take naps in as a child. He told us that his father served in both the Dutch and Indonesian military and was once captured by the Japanese. It was more than a walk through the park today but, a walk through the life of an amazing man. Happy Birthday Dad! 2mon
