kahnivore_photography In keeping with my boat theme here's a #tbt of Birchgrove in @sydney with a spectacular sunrise...
I'm thinking of changing my filters from cokin to @leefilters and was wondering anyone's thoughts on their own systems and they work for them?

kahnivore_photography My first time shooting this at sunrise, and I'm happy with the result... Now I've got to time the tides and clouds to get that apocalyptic image I'm looking for.... Oh and hopefully they haven't moved the boat...
Somewhere between Cronulla and @sydney, @australia

kahnivore_photography The blown out reflective sunray's of oak park pools, always a favourite at low tide with no wind to make the water look like a mirror....

kahnivore_photography I missed this mornings sunrise, so I was happy I got to capture this afternoons sunset over gunnamatta bay...
This photo nearly never happened, if it wasn't for that "one last shot" before I leave...
20 photos later.... Gunnamatta bay, Cronulla @sydney @australia

kahnivore_photography Cronulla this morning had a weird glow about it which wasn't the normal colour, it's usually orange/pink and this morning it was grey/purple/ brown...
Still happy with the outcome.... Cronulla, @sydney @australia

kahnivore_photography So the rains are back, but that doesn't stop the keen... The recent storms have certainly washed a lot of sand away but I personally like it because it accentuates the foreground of my seascapes....

kahnivore_photography Double Bay takes its name from the bay of @sydney Harbour. It refers to the two geographical formations between Point Piper and Darling Point, which are interrupted by a miniature point in between.
And this is double bays apocalyptic ferry wharf in the @cityofsydney

kahnivore_photography Birchgrove is a suburb in the Inner West of @sydney, located on the north-west slope of the Balmain peninsula, overlooking #sydneyharbour.
I was treated to an amazing sunrise for my first time here, which i couldn't have asked for anything better... If you know of other spots around Sydney, or anywhere you think is a good spot to photograph, let me know and I'll check it out...

kahnivore_photography I stumbled upon Griffith Park boatshed in
Longueville, @sydney @australia whilst looking for place to shoot before work, this was my first time down there and it certainly won't be my last...
the morning started out great, with clouds moving in and the water calm, I set up and waited for a little bit more light before I started, took a shot and was pleased with the result, I repositioned and went to take another shot, only to realise the clouds had dissolved and blown away.... Packed up and went to work...
Throughout the day clouds started blowing back in... 3:30pm came and I raced back down for the sunset... I certainly will be back, I know I can get a better shot now I've been there....

kahnivore_photography Cronulla's sunrise this morning was exactly what I've been looking for, just the right amount of cloud without being too overcast, great foreground and the sun just hidden to break the harsh light.... This is #purecronulla 2w

kahnivore_photography Sunrises and sunsets are definitely the most interesting part of the day, you may not always get clouds and colour but when you do, it can be spectacular... You can't get this in the middle of the day when the sun is at brightest, bleeding out all the colour needed to produce these types of shots...
Pulled this from the archives, whilst waiting for last nights and this mornings shoot to upload... Taken on my old canon 450d, which surprisingly still works ( except auto focus haha )

kahnivore_photography Not everyone likes overcast or cloudy days, but I do, you can only get one colour from clear skies and that's blue... Cloud give drama, reflect light and capture colour... You'll rarely see me out photographing in clear skies...

kahnivore_photography A quick snap before work at #Bondi in @photogra_fi and @jo1foster 's stomping grounds... Was surprised there was only one other photographer there, who was probably wondering what I was doing... I'm unfortunately a little blurry due to me moving a little when a wave almost wet my shoes... Didn't have the colours I expected but I'm happy with the pre-sun outcome.... 2w

kahnivore_photography The good ol' bronte pool was built in 1887, monthly tickets were available and you could hire a towel for use...
The place and essence hasn't change but the towel hire has been replaced with parking meters....

kahnivore_photography Gunnamatta last night, had me itching to shoot this morning, I left at 5am to photograph the sunrise, only to be met with stars, for as far as I could see, in a 360 degree view, not a cloud in the sky...
scratching my head, I wondering where all formations went that I was shooting yesterday... So I turned around and went home...
Half an hour later, clouds were at my window, then it rained....
Sometimes you just can't pick it....
