6 Week #StillInIt Challenge!
After six weeks of following a #ketogenic diet, my body doesn't look too much different, but I feel great and have learned a whole lot about fat, carbs, insulin, & #ketosis.
Throughout this challenge, I ate well over 2,000 calories on most days... and burned well over 2,000 calories on most days.

Going #keto really wasn't difficult. Giving up keto, on the other hand, probably would be --physically and mentally. I enjoy eating the high fat foods that I've been avoiding for years. Although I had moments when I felt like reaching for my familiar post-workout banana and peanut butter, the "new" flavors, satiety, consistent energy, and bloat-free tummy have caused me to lose interest in eating sugar and carbs.

Going forward, I probably won't pay attention to my #ketone levels like I did these past several weeks, but I don't intend to change my daily eating habits, so I expect I'll stay keto. To make these #keto friendly lil fellas, I just mix cinnamon bun casein protein powder with coconut oil and then stick them in the freezer for fifteen minutes.

k8fletcher In February, I got a #FitBit and started tracking my daily calorie burn and activity. In March, I got a pedal-only #elliptical for my desk at work and increased my daily steps to surpass my brother. In April, I stocked up on fatty foods and went #keto.
Always something new and exciting to change up the routine. What's next?

k8fletcher Day 6 of going #keto and have found plenty of tastey foods that have made my average meal and daily ratios 80% fat, 15% protein, and 5% carbs.

k8fletcher Here are my final #200ktransform comparisons. The challenge ends today, but the journey continues! So far in 2015 I've managed to gain muscle mass, lose body fat, bench press more than my body weight, deadlift 285lb, and enjoy a truly transformational challenge with my brothers and dad (and thousands of other fitness enthusiasts in the #bodybuildingcom community). Even though I don't have a grasp on the science of sodium depletion, carb loading, dehydrating, and various other factors that competitive bodybuilders use throughout "peak week" and have no idea if there was a better approach I could have taken to look more cut at the end, I feel good about the progress I've made and continue to enjoy the physical and mental challenges of the ongoing journey.

Kudos to @bodybuildingcom and @dymatize for motivating so many people to #transformforlife
