juliefonskov My beautiful aunt and uncle got married this weekend and had their three adorable children, my cousins, as best man and bridesmaids. It was lovely. #shedatearinthechurchandgothammeredattheparty 2w

juliefonskov How beautiful is this one? I'm kind of a wuss about scary stuff, so accompanied by a very friendly clear blue sky, I'm gonna get into this one while surrounded by children and grass down in my backyard #therearebirdsdowntherethough #shouldibewareoftheblackbirds? 2w

juliefonskov Gave my sister the Iliad of Homer for her birthday this weekend. How pretty is this Gyldendal edition? Would look fine next to the same version of The Odyssey! Am I the only one who gives book-presents to everyone I know? #givingwhatiwishformyself 1mon
  •   prof_lit @juliefonskov Nah, I do the same. But I make a point against classics or depthy literature. Cause that engenders some death glares 1mon
  •   juliefonskov @prof_lit Haha, true! I would never have dared buying this one for my sis (or anyone - maybe myself even) if I didn't know she was into that kinda thing. But I feel like books are so versatile that you can find something in everyone's interest, even if they didn't think of wishing for it in book form. 1mon
  •   prof_lit @juliefonskov Yeah, when I get the inkling of getting a book for someone I just have to make sure they'll enjoy it. I got my best friend, an atheist, "God's Disappointed In You" for XMas. 1mon
  •   juliefonskov @prof_lit That's hilarious and brilliant! There's something about everything and it can be super fun to find that exactly right one for someone you know. 1mon
  •   prof_lit @juliefonskov You're exactly right. And he ended up really enjoying it. Hope your sis enjoys your gift. 1mon

juliefonskov "People are afraid to merge on freeways in Los Angeles". I'm dedicating my day to Bret Easton Ellis #novelsundertwohundredpagesftw 2mon
  •   robtoknight That's fair enough I do get where you are coming from and I do agree I just enjoyed as there was a few moments of clarity within some conversation that applied to me :) rules of attractions was the first book I read and I really enjoyed that its does tail off a little but still not sure you would like it so much if you didn't less then zero so not sure I'd recommend it to you :) I've yet to read american psycho but a friends swears I will love it 1mon
  •   juliefonskov @prof_lit Yeah I'm totally with ya. And kind of reassuring to know it's not in the personal top 5 I haven't been scared off for his other works yet! 4w
  •   juliefonskov Btw, @prof_lit, I watched the movie too. Dafuq? -- is my only comment 4w
  •   prof_lit @juliefonskov Which movie? The Less than zero one? Yeah, really really bad. And cool, when you get to his others I'd love to hear your thoughts 4w
  •   prof_lit @juliefonskov Still, Rules of Attraction, get on that. 4w
  •   juliefonskov @robtoknight Yeah well, I like to think you can't judge a writer based only on his debut, so I'm gonna get into some of his other stuff and see if I feel him later in his career ️ American Psycho will probably be the first one I give a go at, since I know, at least, that I liked the movie. 4w
  •   juliefonskov @prof_lit Yeah, Less Than Zero. Only enjoyable thing about it was the young Robert Downey Jr. and sure - I'll be back with more opinions, I'm sure I'll probably get on with American Psycho first, since it's the only one I own at this point, but then I'll go for Rules of Attraction after that, promise ya do you have anywhere, you share your bookish thoughts? 4w
  •   prof_lit @juliefonskov Yeah, it just sucked all of the BEE nature of it out. Imperial Bedrooms spends a whole chapter on how bad it is haha. And cool, I like American Psycho...but I never really saw the hype. Hope you enjoy it though. And thanks I think you'll like Rules ;). And no I don't. You have anywhere to chat other than IG? 4w

juliefonskov Reading my way through the Harry Potter-series for the first time, I must say that it is a delight to keep the beautiful books of this Bloomsbury edition on my shelf! Every time I finish a book, I write a couple of sentences about my experience on the blog: Bookroom.bloggersdelight.dk - go give it a look 2mon

juliefonskov My sisters didn't quite understand my need to bring this collection of fetish comics home with me when we went bookshopping the other day. I am confident, however, it'll make a nice alternative to the classic coffee table book #coffeewithcreamandbondagewhynot? 2mon

juliefonskov Summertime indeed. Thought I would share this very pretty version of Janne Teller's "Nothing" (certainly one of my all-time faves). What are you guys reading in the sun? #anthonpierresaysnothingmeansanything #isaysummermeanseverything 2mon
1mon
1mon
  •   millehoeegh Haha og det var det bare! 1mon

juliefonskov I had almost left the book store without buying anything this time, when my eyes fell on this one. 'The Danish civil war 2018-24' for a hundred kroners. How could I pass on that? It's been on the wish list since it came out, and I think I'll have to move some stuff around on my reading list to clear out space for this one right away 🇩🇰 2mon
  •   heidiarendal Fedt fedt fedt @juliefonskov ..
Bestemt værd at læse.
  •   heidiarendal Great.
  •   juliefonskov @heidiarendal God plan 2mon

juliefonskov Accidentally entered several book stores on pay day. It's quite alright, though, cause summer has finally come to Cph. So I can now work on tanning my legs to be a slightly less blinding shade of white whilst educating myself on Mr. Lovecraft's writings. Not bad at all 2mon

juliefonskov I've decided to try and break my OCD-obsession with keeping my books in perfect condition by following all instructions in Wreck This Journal. I think of it as sort of a shock treatment. Cracking the spine was my first personal win. #imdeterminedtowreckitperfectly... 3mon

juliefonskov Had this handsome man introduce me to true American lifestyle last week. It included grilled cheese sandwiches, Mimosas in the morning, doggy bags, red plastic cups and sunburnt feet (cause Florida). Back in Dk and longing for those palm trees more than ever 4mon
