  •   bmniggemann I went to friends wedding in Chihuahua Mexico and had Mexican corn! It didn't look anything like this! It was corn, some kind of strange crumbled cheese, and smothered in chili powder. I couldn't eat it. According to our Mexican friend, Mexicans eat it like candy! Lol, they also cover all of their fruit in chili powder. @jrsteffes We got to stay for a week. It was pretty cool! 2mon
  •   jrsteffes @bmniggemann this was basically that cut off the cob. And I love chili powder! I'd love to stay in real Mexico for a week. We go quite a bit but always to resorts that don't even have Mexican food. 2mon
  •   bmniggemann It was a lot of fun! We went to a park where they were feeding the birds and the shoe shiners had stands set up. We had real Mexican tacos and they sell sodas in the glass bottles. We stayed in Alex's uncle's house. He's a dr. The houses are concrete and their garages don't have roofs. They only turn the water heater on right before you use it and we didn't know that. The first couple days we took ice cold showers. Every morning the women wake up early and make homemade tortillas, scrambled eggs, salsa, and cheese sauce for breakfast. They leave a hot tea kettle on the table and a couple different boxes of tea out. Everyone had a glass of water and a tea cup. They made our beds every morning. It was very cool to see how different the culture is. On the other hand, there was a lot of similarities too. Like..when you go into "the city" part of Mexico it looks exactly like the US except the roads are made of brick and very uneven and there's a man standing outside of every store and restaurant that gets paid to park your car. It's a regular everyday thing there. Not a privilege. We got to see a Museum and we got to take a tour of a cave. It was very awesome! You should definitely take a trip to authentic Mexico. I wouldn't go without someone who can speak Spanish really well tho! @jrsteffes 2mon
