joyoushealth FIVE REASONS TO EAT MORE NUTS!

1. They can help you feel satisfied after eating. The good fats, protein and fiber keeps you feeling fuller longer.
2. Nuts, especially walnuts and almonds can help balance cholesterol levels. Remember, lowering cholesterol should not be the goal -- having healthy balanced blood cholesterol levels both LDL and HDL is the goal -- they both have a purpose in the body.
3. All nuts, especially almonds can help reduce heart attack risk by as much as 50%, according to Loma Linda School of Public Health.

4. Nuts keeps blood sugar and insulin levels in check. This is why I often recommend eating a small handful of nuts if you're hungry before bed (balanced blood sugar means better sleep). Great for the skin too!! Healthy blood sugar/insulin = clear skin.
5. Nuts are a fantastic way to get a creamy texture in soups, stews, pasta sauces and more. Simple soak in water 1/2 a cup of raw cashews and blend with whatever ingredients you want!   •   joyoushealth @maree3131 @elliehowrad @pascarellad @arockett24 the easiest way to make your own coconut yogurt is to stick 2 organic cans of full fat coco milk in the fridge, let them solidify then take out only the solid bits, pop in a blender or food processor and voila! Of course this doesn't contain probiotics it's just faster, cheaper and inany cases healthier than store-bought. When I do buy coco yogurt (which isn't very often cause I prefer the method above or sheep's yogurt) I get one from Essence of Life however it's been a while so I can't remember the name. It's not the soy delicious brand it's the other one. I never buy flavoured, always get plain to avoid excessive amounts of sugar. 6d
