  •   timsfitness It's harder to get your back neutral when you're at the bottom of the lift. If you're gonna do pause reps you should let go of the bar, stand up and get your back neutral. Then go back down to the bar. Otherwise you're trying to straighten a rounded back while also picking up a heavy weight. Best to have it straight then apply tension.   •   joelstaysdope @timsfitness wait back to what you said, when I'm starting my lift I fix my back. Are you saying that it's harder to fix your back when you start off that way? How should my back be! 10h
  •   timsfitness Once you are down and holding onto the bar with your back rounded you will not be able to get the same tension in your spine. Trying to adjust after you've rounded is too late. You need to prevent it before it happens. You do that by approaching the bar with a straight back and keeping it the whole time. Easier to prevent than to fix. Trying to fix an already rounded back can even lead to injury 8h
