jexicalauryn This is hours and hours of work right here. All color, texture, shading and lighting done by me in this scene. I'm so proud at how realistic this looks I am most proud of the brushed metal surface I made for the thermos 😎 #FullSailUniversity #ShadingAndLighting #Classwork #Textures #Lighting #Work #Realism #Maya #Renders #CritiquesWelcomed #Dedication #HardWork 6d

  •   hardly_ableson And he was shot by the group he was begging understanding from. America has never used peace to attain freedom. We're a country that's been at war almost as long as we've been a country. I know people ask for peaceful protests but when was the last time we have heard of one that worked? In the 70s there was the Kent State shootings, that was a peaceful protests, even monks set themselves on fire to gain attention to what they were protesting. Its sad that the direct community is affected but would anyone (the government/police) listen if they silently marched? 7d
  •   jexicalauryn Freedom isn't at question here. This is about corruption of power. You have to go about it the right way in order to make a change instead of making it even worse and losing all credibility. Why ruin the small businesses in the area run by people of their own community? How does this help at all? It's insane and idiotic. Protest in front of city hall, police stations, but don't ruin public property, throw rocks at white people and steal from stores for your own benefit then call it justice. No matter what anyone says this is in no way helping anyone or anything excel in any manner. @hardly_ableson 7d
  •   diva_xtremme Fruit for thought: why protect your community when you don't even have owner ship in your own community? I agree that violence isn't the answer but part of me feels where they are coming from. They live in that community, they do not own it... So why protect it if you can't afford to take part in the success? 6d
  •   jexicalauryn Oh absolutely! I definitely understand where they are coming from! I would be angry and want to break things also. But at some point you have to get control of that immaturity and think what you can't do to actually be heard and make a difference. putting other people in your community in danger because your upset isn't the solution. If they feel they have no ownership in their community it's up to them to acquire that. I feel like even if they don't have ownership, they should at the very least take pride in where they live and not want to see it up in flames. It's just counter productive and does nothing for the betterment of the situation in my opinion. @diva_xtremme 6d
  •   tiffspliffington @diva_xtremme I can definitely dig your point. Jess, I feel you too. I think if we really wanted to make a difference, the mobs should've joined the BMore chapter for the NBPP and rallied together as a peaceful (until threatened) militia of citizens who are understandably with the politics as they stand. Violence is how we won this country - was it not? Law came after the war was won. I don't think there's any clean way to handle corruption, but I must say the disorganization of this madness is what I'm most embarrassed about. 6d
  •   tiffspliffington understandably fed up* 6d
  •   jexicalauryn @tiffspliffington I understand your where coming from but I can't jump on that "violence is how we won this country" bandwagon cause let's be honest how well did that turn out? It was obviously wrong the first time around so why fall back on that as an excuse to ruin things and think it's ok? When are we as a generation going to recognize what didn't work and move on to alternative, more positive ways of doing things. It's always easier to act out and rage but at some point maturity and logic should kick in and we should be asking ourselves what we are doing to contribute to the betterment of this generation and this nation as a whole. We should be spreading positivity, change and peace instead of acting like our ancestors only to get the same negative result then be surprised it didn't work afterwards. There are peaceful protests going on up there also. It's all about choice. 5d
  •   tiffspliffington Countries are won with war - that's a fact. I was referencing the Revolutionary war, where we triumphantly gained freedom from England...we can all agree that was a good thing...no? It's not rainbows and butterflies, but it's the way things work. 5d
