jennafrancisco It couldn't have been a nicer January day in Napa Valley yesterday! The views from the Wine Train included the yellow of mustard and bright green of radish plants that fill in the vineyards in winter. Have you been to Napa Valley in the winter? 2w

jennafrancisco I love the restored antique train cars of the Napa @winetrain . All the original details made me feel like we'd stepped back in time. What a luxurious and relaxing experience! 2w

jennafrancisco So many photos from San Francisco as I collect them for a photo post on the blog. Here's the de Young Museum--I love how the museum uses glass to incorporate the outdoor gardens (this one is ferns that grow between two parts of the building). What museum's architecture impressed you? 2w
  •   ourwholevillage We were just there two days ago! Saw the Keith Haring exhibit (with kid, oops )! Love the #deyoungmuseum. We also love the architecture of The California Academy of Sciences bc of its grass roof. The #Guggenheim building in NYC is pretty cool too. 2w
  •   jasonmuscat One of these days you need to let me know you're coming to town so we can meet up. 2w
  •   headlinesandhemlines The Getty; the architecture frames everything you look at, just like the artwork on the walls. Makes the Hollywood hills underneath the smog look picturesque. 2w
  •   jennafrancisco @jasonmuscat Yes!! I actually was going to this time because we were in town for 4 days, but then I saw that you were on your way to Palm Springs just before we came. 2w
  •   jennafrancisco @headlinesandhemlines I haven't been to the Getty yet, but I've heard it's beautiful 2w
  •   jennafrancisco @ourwholevillage We didn't see the Haring exhibit even though I really wanted to. I also love the green roof you mentioned! 2w
  •   jennafrancisco @n.wolstenholme Me too. I've been there a few times now and love the inside and outside. 2w
  •   jasonmuscat Next time! 2w

jennafrancisco Another intention for 2015: to spend as much time in the countryside as possible. I love being away from the constant low rumble of the city and instead surrounded by the chirps of birds in old trees (as in the twisting branches--like witch fingers--of this heritage oak on a farm/winery outside Lodi). What's on your to-do list for 2015? 3w

jennafrancisco Memories from recent days at the beach...much better than these days spent indoors with the flu! All 4 of us have it, but fortunately I have been the least sick and therefore able to make soup every day. Hoping for a better day tomorrow :) 3w

jennafrancisco There are lots of changes I hope to make in 2015; the main one is that I must take better care of myself through exercise and more rest. I have some travel resolutions, too. One is to visit more UNESCO World Heritage Sites--I love history and cultural heritage, and visiting these sites is a goal I have for the rest of my life. Here is Congonhas, a UNESCO site in Brazil that I didn't even know existed. It ended up being a highlight of my trip there last summer. 3w

jennafrancisco I'm back in sunny Sacramento but am missing the light on the water in San Francisco. There's something about being on the ocean that is so energizing. 3w

jennafrancisco What a sunset at the ruins of the Sutro Baths at Land's End, San Francisco. Walking down the steps to the water, I kept thinking that it would be oh so nice to live in this city. It never ceases to amaze me. 4w
