jeninwonderland I was tagged by the wonderful @mandyannecurtis for #thursday3 , so here is my day late version. 1. Less than 2 months shy of turning 31 and I broke down and got my first pair of glasses. It's amazing how much they've helped with my headaches. 2. I found out officially this week that I got a promotion, which means a few changes in this household. 3. My hair is now almost to my waist, so of course I'm contemplating cutting it off. 12h

jeninwonderland This little dude apparently passed out on the couch while I was at the gym. Sweet big sister made sure he was tucked in nice and good. 16h

jeninwonderland I've never been a consistent worker-outer (?!) because I've always thought of it as a chore. It wasn't something I ever saw my parents do, save for the occasional stroll around the block. Over my adult years I've started and stopped, started and stopped, started and stopped SO many exercise programs. I've done everything from cross country ski machines, to the Gazelle (!!!), to running, to yoga, to Denise Austin and Jillian Michaels videos, and everything in between. Nothing ever really stuck for very long. Until last year, I actually ran pretty consistently for several months, and then a few things took a not so great turn in my life and health and I stopped and didn't start back up again for over a year (consistently anyway). But now I feel like I'm back on track. I've been back at it for almost two months now and dare I say, I actually enjoy working out. Whether I'm running outside or on the elliptical at the gym, this sacred time is all mine. It is the biggest time of the day that I let life, and the constant list of duties that comes with it, slip away. I'm starting to be able to tell when I've gone 24 hours or more without a workout. I become a ball of stress without it. I can't unwind. But with it, everything just melts away. Who knew that something that I so hated and dreaded initially, would become a lifeline for me, in more ways than one?! #nighttimeramblingswithjen #latergram 2d
  •   ashjones1183 Love this!! People think I'm crazy when I tell them that I LOVE to workout but it seriously makes handling everything else in life so much easier. Can't go a day without it!! 2d
  •   fairymom I am starting to come to that realization! I have always been on and off but I love yoga and feel it when I can't make a class! Great feeling!! 2d
  •   jeninwonderland @ashjones1183 @fairymom When I first started up again a few months ago, I did it thinking, "I don't have time for this! It's just going to be one more thing I have to do in my day!", but I was amazed over time at how much easier it made my days. When I work out it lowers my stress level and makes thinking, and thus prioritizing and getting things done, SO much easier!!! Love it! 16h

jeninwonderland They've been sitting together playing games for well over an hour. This more than makes up for their bickering at the eyeglass store earlier. :) 1w

jeninwonderland As much as I dislike the gym, this is where I've ended up the last few nights this week. Just needed a change of pace. 1w

jeninwonderland Not a crazy hard workout, but it did the job of burning some calories and keeping my "me" time, and progress on track while on vacation. 3w
