We have a "Hot Mess Fries" (Texas take on carne Assad fries). Brisket or pulled pork on a pile of fries with sour cream and cheese etc etc.

We also have a Mac n Cheese Entree.
What did I do? Combine the two the Hot Mac&Cheese Mess ;-)

jayce_venditti My son. Though a whole other species it's amazing the connection and bond you can have with mans best friend, the dog. To me, mans best friend doesn't even describe how amazing these creatures are. I love you Michael Bear Venditti. My papas. 2mon

jayce_venditti Broken does not equal UNREPAIRABLE. It ALSO does not mean beauty is lost...continue to read. I came to an amazing realization recently.
Story
So I bought this decorative piece years and years ago at IKEA. It doesn't have much material value. But emotionally it has much value.

I broke it a few months ago.
For some reason...I kept the pieces as I do from time to time not knowing why.
So, here I am and an epiphany strikes me, I tell my roomies I'm holding onto it as I do some things for a reason I can't explain. And they tell me about KINTSUGI & KINTSUKUROI and I realize what must be and will be done. I've been waiting to be made aware of this beautiful repairing art-form. What is it? Read on.
---------------
I take a picture.

I've realized. -------------
Kintsugi: golden joinery
Kintsukuroi: golden repair

The Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum, a method similar to the maki-e technique. As a philosophy it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise.

Why throw something away when it's broken. When it breaks? Repair it. It can be repaired!!! Is it really because it's so much easier to toss it away and let its part in your history fade.
It wouldn't surprise me if there was some type of correlation with a gold wedding band joining two "kind of broken" incomplete pieces together. The husband and wife? I wonder if there is?

Anyways, wow.

Whether a broken piece of pottery or a broken relationship--when you TAKE THE TIME AND ENERGY to put it back together. It GAINS VALUE and becomes tougher to break the next time around and after that and after that.

Think of a broken bone as well. When they heal, where the break was is stronger than the rest of the bone.
MORAL OF THIS LONG WRITE UP?
Just because something is broken doesn't mean it's UNREPAIRABLE.
ALSO...analyze how you can use the DIFFERENT types of joinery below to things in life: •Crack, the use of gold dust and resin or lacquer to attach broken pieces with minimal overlap or fill-in from missing pieces
•Piece Method, where a replacement ceramic fragment is not available a
