janewallor "Sunrise, Poppies" is a diptych (painting on two panels) and is one of my larger pieces, at 20 x 42 inches. Lyme Art Association Gallery chose to hang it above a huge painting with similar, but more intense colors. Do you think this is an effective pairing? Just curious... 7mon
  •   ancestorsfound Given the allotted space, I would have hung the poppies underneath (thinking: lower/higher, foreground/background). I would prefer the diptych to hang alone at eye level, but given the space, that's what I'd do. 7mon
  •   janewallor @ancestorsfound Thanks, Sandi. I too would have preferred the painting to be at eye level. Luckily, I continue my images around the edges, top, sides, and bottom. And maybe that was what they were trying to highlight... That if you were seated and looking UP at the poppies you'd see the stems and grass wrapping right around the canvas! 7mon
