jamieleighpent We do not believe in ourselves until someone reveals that deep inside us something is valuable, worth listening to, worthy of our trust, sacred to our touch. Once we believe in ourselves we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight or any experience that reveals the human spirit. - e. e. cummings 2d

jamieleighpent 3rd live show, 3 years in a row with @whit_smit. I think each was a special experience, but oh my word, tonight was by far my favorite! The solo acoustic set showcased his raw talent. It was like experiencing his music for the first time all over again. Thank you, Noah for an extraordinary night. I'm always in awe of those that bare their souls so willingly and you did that tonight. Can't wait for the next album! 6d
  •   jamieleighpent @cameronmmurray yes indeed he is. He shared some of his story and new songs tonight that talked about his small town experience. So good. I've been been a fan for years but every time I see him live, I love him as an artist even more. 6d
  •   cameronmmurray I love that you love him. His story is cool - Keith Green is *still* one of his biggest influencers in his music (assuming you're familiar with 80s acoustic psalm worship haha) 6d
  •   jamieleighpent @cameronmmurray I am in fact familiar. Grew up with the whole "Songs for the Shepherd" album. I remember his story having an impact on me because it may have been one of my first encounters with tragedy and death as a kid. 6d

jamieleighpent I am with you, you men and women of a generation, or ever so many generations hence;
I project myself—also I return—I am with you, and know how it is.
Just as you feel when you look on the river and sky, so I felt;
Just as any of you is one of a living crowd, I was one of a crowd;
Just as you are refresh’d by the gladness of the river and the bright flow, I was refresh’d;
Just as you stand and lean on the rail, yet hurry with the swift current, I stood, yet was hurried;
Just as you look on the numberless masts of ships, and the thick-stem’d pipes of steamboats, I look’d.
I too many and many a time cross’d the river, the sun half an hour high;
I watched the Twelfth-month sea-gulls—I saw them high in the air, floating with motionless wings, oscillating their bodies,
I saw how the glistening yellow lit up parts of their bodies, and left the rest in strong shadow,
I saw the slow-wheeling circles, and the gradual edging toward the south. ...........
Flow on, river! flow with the flood-tide, and ebb with the ebb-tide!
Frolic on, crested and scallop-edg’d waves!
Gorgeous clouds of the sun-set! drench with your splendor me, or the men and women generations after me;
Cross from shore to shore, countless crowds of passengers!
Stand up, tall masts of Mannahattan!—stand up, beautiful hills of Brooklyn!
Throb, baffled and curious brain! throw out questions and answers!
Suspend here and everywhere, eternal float of solution!
Gaze, loving and thirsting eyes, in the house, or street, or public assembly!
Sound out, voices of young men! loudly and musically call me by my nighest name!
Live, old life! play the part that looks back on the actor or actress!
Play the old role, the role that is great or small, according as one makes it!

jamieleighpent Gorgeous blue sky days. Please can I freeze time? Rewind it? Teleport me and my loves to some quiet beach? No? Sigh. Ok, I'll take this moment. 3w

jamieleighpent Seeing Noah Gundersen live is becoming quite the annual tradition for @whit_smit & I. First in the Mercury Lounge in 2014 then Bowery Ballroom last year & now I'm super stoked for an intimate performance at @rockwoodmusichall on the 28th. All Whitney has to say is "tickets" and "Noah" and I will blindly buy them not caring when or where. You could call us fans... or just tired & wandering souls self-medicating on words and melodies of an artistic genius. Or fans. Whichever you prefer. 3w
  •   jamieleighpent @bo.one this is a thing?!?! Oh man THE DREAM!! Also, reeeeally want to check out the PNW. Sounds like a great excuse! 3w

  •   whit_smit It just doesn't get better than him. And seeing him with anyone BUT you would be shameful at this point. 3w

jamieleighpent 12 years & $4 billion dollars to make, this is Oculus, the World Trade Center transportation hub. From the outside I've always called it "the whale bones," but from the inside, I think it's more like wings. I appreciate the outside so much more, now that I've seen the heart. 3w

jamieleighpent It's this beautiful girl's "birtday" today & im so grateful for her! I have never known a person like her before. The depth for which she feels for others and the fierceness of her loyalty is unparalleled. She is a compassionate soul and a world changer and I'm proud to call her friend. Also, she sent me this awesome birthday video last year from South Sudan- what a champ!Cheers to another year of life and truly making a difference in this crazy world we live in, @whit_smit and to many more to come! 4w
