jacquiecooks The lovely @jennaraecakes is hosting a giveaway for their delicious macarons. I would love to win because the giveaway ends on my birthday and it would be a lovely birthday gift for me to enjoy all the other wonderful flavours I haven't got to try yet! I'd also love to share it with, of course, @keveats. #jrcchristmas 2w

jacquiecooks Feeling a bit under the weather, so I picked up my favourite lean pork and century egg congee. I still can't get @keveats to try a century egg. 😛 3w
  •   lyricaldreams Ah I don't think I've tried mint in any food but I don't imagine I'll like it very much either. And yes I can't stand the taste of cilantro though you can let him try rosemary, thyme, and basil because I like those. You can sauté mushrooms with thyme and rosemary and cook meat with basil. Shrimps are okay for me but when I was a child I had a very mild allergy to them. @angelagiselle loves her shrimps too, especially those huge shrimps/prawns skewered on sticks and barbecued. 3w
  •   lyricaldreams I didn't eat eggplant/brinjal/aubergine before I met @angelagiselle but now I love them 3w
  •   missjen619 Get well soon! I love century egg! 3w
  •   jacquiecooks @lyricaldreams Oh yeah he doesn't like eggplant or mushrooms. He considers them to have a slimy texture. 3w
  •   jacquiecooks @missjen619 Thanks, Jenny! 3w

jacquiecooks Poached scrambled eggs on top of hash tossed in oregano, chili flakes and scallions. 4w
  •   misscarey814 Looks delish! How does one poach scrambled eggs? I'm very intrigued! 4w
  •   jacquiecooks @misscarey814 I discovered the technique from chef Daniel Patterson on an episode of The Mind of a Chef. Basically, you do the swirl method as you would with poaching an egg (minus the vinegar but season the water with salt). Pour the lightly beaten egg into the swirled water and cover the pot. After 10 seconds, remove most of the water and then pour into a sieve and let the egg sit for 15 seconds to remove any excess water. Then he just seasoned with salt and pepper and a drizzle of olive oil! 4w
  •   misshappybelly Thanks for the explanation, gotta try that sometime, looks delish! 4w
  •   misscarey814 Sounds like something I need to try real soon, thanks for the explanation. 4w
  •   evaloveslife Do u take and post photos with an iPhone? What app do you use the edit? Thanks 3w
