  •   jacobturnage hahah @ovosman 1mon
  •   jacobturnage dude Adobe Lightroom is amazing, then I put on a vsco filter and it covers it up really nice @gunnerhoffman 1mon
  •   gunnerhoffman Yeah, it is pretty amazing... But in all honestly I adore the grain... It feels sacrilegious to remove it, for me anyway 1mon
  •   jacobturnage yeah I know what you mean, that's really cool, I don't get my film on CDs often so I actually edited this one, I'll keep that in mind though, I like your reasoning..makes the image special in a way 1mon
  •   gunnerhoffman Yeah, I mean for me the grain makes the photograph more... More human if you will... I mean think about it.. Human's aren't perfect... We had flaws and inperfections... Very much like film photography. Anyway, great to see another guy shooting film! Can't wait to see more! #FilmIsNotDead 1mon

jacobturnage this a Beatrice, she loved getting her picture taken and then looking at herself, mirrors aren't very common in rural Africa so I was happy to take pictures of her and the rest of the kids, man do I miss that place, 24 more hours of travel until I'm home though 1mon

jacobturnage we drove 10 hours again today to get back to Dar Es Salaam, I already miss the village and the people I had to leave behind, and staring out the window without a care in the world, watching the happiest form of life in the smiles of others..I do not want to let that memory go..tomorrow I start getting on planes to fly back, see you soon America 1mon

  •   jacobturnage here's an update courtesy of a IringaNetCafe where I paid 1000 shillings (75¢) for some internet, I took this on our safari yesterday, it was insane I got so many great shots of wild animals, I was literally 10 feet away from a lion one time haha, still loving this incredible place 2mon

jacobturnage well, there's wifi in this small airport hotel, and let me tell you, while it was 14 aching long hours of flying and I've now been awake for roughly 30 ish hours, seeing a sunset over the states of North America, then a sunrise above Northern Europe, and then another sunset in Quatar...that was amazing, I took so many pictures.
somebody said: "it's not about the destination, it's about the journey" and let me tell you, they were right..

jacobturnage so one thing that is vital when leaving the US of A is one of these, I'm about to get on a plane that is taking me 13 hours east, to Asia, and then I will get on yet another airplane and go 5 hours south to the African country of Tanzania where I will aid the small village of Pommern. It's going to be a crazy 3 weeks, see y'all on the other side. 2mon
