  •   lucyymunro The foundation of your fan base like the old videos (which actually got 3X more views than your current ones may I add) so by doing all these pretentious "projects", all those people feel cheated by you. If you weigh up the views your old videos got compared to your new ones, there is quite a drastic difference. Also, around 95% of your original fan base that made you rise to Youtube stardom find your short documentaries very pretentious and boring. This is because you are now reaching out to a new target audience, which is why it took you just over a year and a half to get to 4 million subscribers from 3 million. I feel that if you want to do these projects for your new target audience, don't let your old ones disappear by uploading an 'Ask Jack', 'opening mail' and challenge videos etc on a more regular basis as that is what the majority of your subscribers signed up for 3w

  •   maisofala @lucyymunro I usually don't do this (because it's pointless) but I consider myself a creator and I feel what you are saying comes from a super closed minded perspective. Jack is one of the greatest young film makers on YouTube right now and to ask him to continue making shit, cop-out "ask jack" videos to please his 11-16 yrs demographic is absurd. @jackharries, you make some of the most amazing and inspiring content on the Internet and those who are not cognizant of that will leave eventually but you will continue to attract people who are just as passionate about travel, charity, perspective, etc. and in my opinion that's more valuable than attracting 2 million + people who could care less about what you care about. 3w
  •   cynthiaagnes @maisofala beautifully said. You were so right on every point there, took the words right out of my mouth 3w
  •   dallascameronismine Dile a finn que lo amo tambien! 3w
  •   emmmagrayyy @lucyymunro you need to remember that a) it's their channel and they can do whatever they want with it b) they aren't young teenagers anymore and if they want to make amazing, sophisticated videos that actually make a difference and cater to audiences other than 11 year olds then so be it c) the level at which they do their work and the effort they put into it is not something to call "boring" or "pretentious" in fact if you were cultured at all maybe you would see that their videos are some by far among the best shot and produced videos on YouTube d) if you were a true fan you would support them no matter what they decide 2w
