itsashok Breakfast today- oats and coffee .
️I used 4 drops of the vanilla Myprotein flavor drops- they are yum and come in loads in different flavors! Fab for making porridge a little less... boring without covering it in honey or sugar .
️I topped my oats with 0% Fat FAGE Greek yoghurt to increase the protein content of my breakfast! Hands up who is hungry an hour after eating oats 🏼 oats on their own aren't that high in protein so it's all about the toppings- the yoghurt is unreal with it but you could also have nuts, seeds or go wild and add some protein powder to make Proats!

️Cacao nibs.... Not to be confused with chocolate these actually taste like really REALLY bitter dark chocolate/dirt .They are antioxidants i.e. Help to prevent our body cells going bad! They also contain some caffeine The thing is though they're not magic.... A sprinkle of cacao nibs won't make you healthy... Just like 1 chocolate biscuit won't make you unhealthy!! .
️Lastly, Koko coconut milk is the bomb.com! And amazing in coffee- if your trying to reduce/remove dairy pick this up. Most nut milks are horrible when added to tea and coffee but the coconut milk is very similar to cows milk! .

itsashok Saturday Mornings Starting today off with protein pancakes and an Americano with coconut milk

This might look like a high calorie/treat meal etc breakfast when it's actually the complete opposite! I have a skin tight bodycon dress to get in to today which means having something that will not only fill me up for hours but also stop any unwanted bloating/water retention etc!

If you have a night out, christening, wedding, party etc today or tonight then this is my go to breakfast

️Simple to make
️2 eggs
️1 banana
️1 tablespoon oats
️1 scoop protein powder (optional, but adding in the extra protein fills you up ALL day!)

My toppings are FAGE 0% fat Greek yoghurt, banana and goji berries and cacao nibs just to be fancy!

itsashok Green Smoothie bags all set for the freezer! Just throw it in to a blender in the morning and out the door!! 🍐🍋

Such a great idea for those of us who have really good intentions of doing this everyday and then come home 2 weeks later to mouldy kale in your fridge or for those of us who lose track of time in the mornings and need something speedy 🏼

This juice has

️Cucumber
️Green apple
️Lemon

I'll add LOADS of water in the morning! I like my smoothies super watery, find it was easier to drink!!

DRAGGED myself out of bed this morn but delighted to have my workout done and dusted for the day 🏼 Getting up and going is the hardest part! Once your there is grand

Followed by a post-workout breakfast of strawberry protein oats 🤔 Not really sure how I feel about it... If you love sweets you'll love this!! And sure look who doesn't love a pink breakfast 🏼🏽

itsashok Lunch today ️ Mixed salad with oven baked salmon and some homemade veggie soup (I'd love to say I made this but I robbed some of my dads homemade soups from my parents yesterday)

Because I'm sitting in a class room and doing very little activity today (besides walking to and from the train station) I keep my carbs low-ish and focus on high protein, high fat foods instead. Carbs are really important to giving our muscles energy but obviously I don't need as much energy today, compared to a work/workout day!
I've nuts, a protein bar and an apple + nut butter to snack on for the rest of the day!

️Spelt Wholegrain bread from Donnybrook Fair it's amazing!!! A lot of people think they have a problem digesting gluten when it's actually wheat that's the problem (sometimes it's both combined-wheat contains nearly twice as much gluten as spelt, rye and oats) Try out spelt bread and see how you feel after it

itsashok Good morning from Amsterdam 😎 I forgot to update you all on the last and most important part of my 'How to stop yourself from bloating like a whale after a flight" As you can see from my pic- no bloating!! Success
.
️To recap- yesterday during the day I focused on the following-
️Avoid wheat and dairy the day before.
️Avoid Salty Foods
️EXERCISE- get moving!! I did 20 mins high intensity cardio yesterday on top of my usually weights session . .
️Once I was home for the evening I started guzzling back the water. I had about 3Litres between 6-12pm last night. You can just aim to drink your water during the day- but running to the bathroom every 30 mins drives me mad when I'm busy. But I don't mind if I'm at home for the evening!

️Dandelion Capsules! I took x2 yesterday morning and x2 in the evening. I've posted about these a lot but they are amazing!! Dandelion basically helps to get rid of any excess water and also reduces inflammation (bloating etc is often caused by inflammation)
.
️Be cautious taking dandelion with antibiotics or Oestrogen based birth control as it can make it less effective
.
️Lastly, I avoided the airport fry up! I'll eat all the fry's I want when I'm away but it's just not worth that sluggish, bloated, dehydrated feeling you get after your flight!! Also once your through security buy water! I've had 1.5L today! .
So hopefully that helps some of you!!
