invisiblechildren We've already introduced you to Charles, the 4 year old elephant who was orphaned by poachers like the LRA, who are ordered by Joseph Kony to kill elephants and sell their ivory tusks to fund his violence against communities.
Today, you can take action to protect these magnificent creatures and help end LRA violence by asking your Senators to sign onto the #ENDWildlifeTrafficking Act which will strengthen efforts to hold poachers and wildlife traffickers, like the LRA accountable.
Take action through the link in our bio.

invisiblechildren Lisa and Mattieu*... taking goofy selfies at our Invisible Children office in Obo, CAR. After spending nearly a year with the LRA, Mattieu spent four months in Obo receiving care and support from our staff and community partners before he was recently reunited with his family - just in time for the holidays. It was your generous support that allowed our team to care for Mattieu and help him return home. Please consider making a tax deductible, end-of-year donation to Invisible Children so more success stories like Mattieu's are possible in 2016. www.invisiblechildren.com/donate (*Mattieu's name has been changed to protect his identity.) 1mon

This week, after months and years as captives of Joseph Kony, three brave boys are finally being reunited with their families, just in time for the holidays. (Video link in profile) 2mon

invisiblechildren Why give? Because there are still kids in the LRA waiting for their chance to escape and come home. #GivingTuesday 2mon
  •   opal_gonzalez I'd just like to say that @invisiblechildren has inspired me beyond imaginable. It has showed me and gave me hope that big things can be done like ending the LRA. I first heard about it at warp tour a few years back and was hooked on the idea on the everything about this. Up until this i did not fully understand the reality of this and how it is actually going on. Through research of invisible children I have found that I aspire to be a activist for what I am most passionate about. Human, animal, and LIFE rights. It is incredible to see people who are doing what I so desperately long to to in a few years time. 2mon
  •   invisiblechildren @opal_gonzalez you're an inspiration to us. Thank you for your kind words. Stop at nothing! 2mon

invisiblechildren We are empowering communities and peacefully dismantling the LRA from within by working with local journalists in DRC and CAR to create & broadcast “Come Home” radio messages. These messages have been proven to give Kony’s fighters the courage and instructions they need to safely escape the LRA.

invisiblechildren On a recent trip to central Africa, Ananda met this 4 year old elephant named Charles. He was orphaned at a very young age when both of his parents were killed by poachers.
We know that Joseph Kony is ordering the LRA to kill elephants and sell their ivory tusks to fund his violence. With your #GivingTuesday donation, we’ll be able to expand our programs and prevent more of these beautiful creatures from falling victim.

invisiblechildren Here's a little behind the scenes look at my interview with an incredibly compassionate woman named Clementine. She volunteers for a community-led organization in Obo, CAR called AFASVR, which provides temporary host homes to women and children returning from the LRA.

When I asked Clementine why she volunteers, she said it's because two of her own children were abducted by the LRA and are still in the bush. She hopes that if they are able to escape they will also be cared for before returning home.

I'm so proud that Invisible Children supports the work of AFASVR, Clementine, and the other compassionate host families. I invite you to join us by donating.

  •   anandarobie @mixed_azt great question! 1) Join our CITIZEN network and help advocate for an end to LRA violence (email: citizen@invisiblechildren.com) and 2) consider asking your friends and family to donate make a donation to Invisible Children in lieu of gifts for your next birthday or for Christmas (if you celebrate). Thanks! 3mon

invisiblechildren I woke up early this morning to watch Joannick, our Early Warning Network Hub Operator in Central African Republic (CAR), conduct the first of two daily security check-ins with communities across CAR.
The reality that this Network is a lifeline for hundreds of thousands of people targeted by LRA violence hit me like a slap in the face. I listened anxiously as each community, one by one, either reported that all was well, or that there had been an LRA sighting or attack in their area since the previous day's check in. For most of these communities, the Early Warning Network is their only way of letting neighboring towns and the outside world know if they've been attacked.

invisiblechildren This is 'Moserin' (aka Moses & Erin). Moses started with Invisible Children as a Legacy Scholarship student in 2006 and Erin as a Roadie in 2011. Now, these two are our Financial Officers. They're responsible for overseeing the effective use of every single dollar that comes into Invisible Children. Moses does this from the ANCHOR office (our partner) in Uganda and Erin is based in the US. After thousands of emails and Skype calls, they just met for the first time in Kampala and are already best buds. #selfie 4mon
