invisiblechildren In the first 3 months of 2016 the LRA abducted 57 central African children, 36 of whom remain unaccounted for. LRA leaders also reportedly plan to train these children as fighters to bolster the LRA’s fighting strength.

JOIN US in stopping LRA violence and bringing these children home. DONATE TODAY to support programs like our 'Come Home' messages to the LRA.

invisiblechildren We recently met up with the team at Radio Rhino in DRC, one of our 11 partner radio stations who broadcast 'Come Home' messages to the LRA.
These men and women are some of the most dedicated to seeing peace in their community and we're so honored to support their incredible work.

invisiblechildren #tbt to installing one of the first HF radio towers as part of our Early Warning Network.

Since 2010, we've worked with local communities to create the Early Warning Network, which allows isolated communities to report LRA activity via long-range HF radios, allowing them to prepare for and mitigate the effects of LRA violence. Today over 80 communities are protected by the EWN and we continue to expand the HF network to include more and more remote communities affected by the LRA.

Help us give thousands more access to the Early Warning Network through making a donation today.

invisiblechildren LRA violence takes a huge toll on the people of central Africa. In addition, Kony funds his violence by ordering his fighters to kill endagered elephants for their ivory tusks.

Join us and our friends at The Enough Project in urging our Senators to support Anti-Wildlife Trafficking Legislation. Together, we can help put an end to wildlife poaching and ivory trafficking by Kony's LRA and other violent groups, which will also help stop their violence against communities. invisiblechildren With the help of our donors and partners on the ground, we're able to support healing for victims of LRA violence.

This photo is of community leaders in Obo, CAR holding their certificates after completing a two-day trauma healing workshop organized by Invisible Children in partnership with the InterChurch Commission of Western Equatoria, South Sudan.

Support community protection and recovery in LRA-affected areas by giving to Invisible Children today. (Link in our bio)

invisiblechildren Happy #InternationalWomensDay!
At Invisible Children, we get to work with some seriously awesome women. Women like Melanie, Operations Manager at our office in DRC. Melanie runs the place, making all of our programs there possible, and there's no one better for the job. She's also a mother who just welcomed a new baby boy into the world over the weekend.

We're looking forward to watching Melanie's son grow up in a world without LRA violence because of the hard work and dedication of his incredible mother.

invisiblechildren Today, on #WorldWildlifeDay, we're celebrating the incredible wildlife that our teams in central Africa work amongst every day.
However, we also know LRA violence is putting some of that wildlife in danger. This photo of elephants in the wild comes from a piece @natgeo published last year which dove deep into how illegal ivory trafficking funds Kony's violence.
Check out the link in our bio to learn more about how you can help stop LRA violence and prevent more of these magnificent creatures from falling victim. #ItsInOurHands

invisiblechildren Last week, award-winning photographer #BrentStirton's photo of a former LRA combatant holding two ivory tusks was recognized as a runner-up for 2015's World Press Photo of the Year.
This photo of a young man named Michael, who was once the bodyguard of former LRA commander Cesar Achellam, tells the story of what just one defection can mean. Michale is now free from the LRA and able not only to return home and recover, but also to help authorities stop illegal poaching of elephants and trafficking of ivory, which funds Joseph Kony'a violence against communities.
Stirton's image stands among many other striking and beautiful photos that tell the stories of people all over the world.

invisiblechildren 🏻 This month we said "Au Revoir" to one of our best, Ananda Robie as she heads off to a new adventure.
As she joins the ranks of the people she loves the most (our supporters), we wanted to say thanks to her for making our work possible and being a best friend while doing it for the past five years.

invisiblechildren Just because Valentine's Day is over, it doesn't mean we're not still bursting with love for all of you who make our work possible.
We've got one more message from Joanick, Project Officer in our CAR office to make sure you know it: "I want to say thank our donors for all of your support. I am so grateful because, thanks to you, Invisible Children has been able to have a positive impact on LRA-affected communities."

invisiblechildren Today, we're sending our love to the people who make us feel all warm and fuzzy -- our donors!
Josias, Head Logistician at our office in CAR, along with all of us at Invisible Children, want you to know that you've got a special place in our hearts: "I want to thank you because even though you are on the other side of the world you think about the lost children of central Africa and help us to develop and improve our programs." #HappyValentinesDay

invisiblechildren With Valentine's Day coming up this Sunday, we're thinking a lot about our incredible donors and how much we love them.
John, who works as the National Media Coordinator in our CAR office, wanted to share why he loves Invisible Children's donors so much: "I am grateful to our donors because, thanks to you, we are getting closer to bringing an end to the LRA conflict in Central Africa. You support programs like the Early Warning Network and Community Defection Committies which strengthen and protect affected communities. You also make it possible for us to broadcast FM radio messages, which encourage LRA members to come home, and for LRA defectors to receive trauma healing through our community partners once they return to safety."

invisiblechildren We've already introduced you to Charles, the 4 year old elephant who was orphaned by poachers like the LRA, who are ordered by Joseph Kony to kill elephants and sell their ivory tusks to fund his violence against communities.
Today, you can take action to protect these magnificent creatures and help end LRA violence by asking your Senators to sign onto the #ENDWildlifeTrafficking Act which will strengthen efforts to hold poachers and wildlife traffickers, like the LRA accountable.
Take action through the link in our bio.
