instafit24_ @lost135lbs @lost135lbs Like many people I had gotten so comfortable in my life that I became lazy and unmotivated. I tried gimmick diets in the past and lost weight but as soon as I stopped the program I gained it all plus more back. I became depressed and content with being overweight. •

3 years ago I was at a party and I looked around and realized: I was the "fat friend" and something snapped inside me. I knew right then and there that I had to make a change in my life and this time had to be different.


I decided to try the old fashion way of losing weight - eat healthy and exercise. I made small changes to my diet and started going for walks everyday. I refused to say I was on a diet, instead, I was making a lifestyle change. Small changes turned into bigger changes and now my life is completely different.


I'm 41 years old, I've lost 135lbs and I am in the best shape of my life!!! I eat clean, I meal prep, and I workout 5 times a week. I have made exercise and healthy eating a priority in my life and I know I will never go back to my old ways. If I can do it anyone can, just stay focused and remember, YOU ARE WORTH IT!!!! instafit24_ I'm 26 years old and my fitness journey started in March 2013 at 237 lbs. My highest weight at 247 in 2012. I am down to 164 and my short term goal is 140 lbs by the end of July. My ultimate goal by Jan 2014 is 130! Keep pushing yourself because you can do it!

instafit24_ My weightloss journey spans over a few years. In my early 20s, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and cervical cancer. I was overweight and very unhappy. I decided to change my life and start taking my health and fitness seriously. I have lost over 20kg since 2009. Most recently I've lost 10kg since December 2013. I am now training for my first fitness competition.

1 mile Run
100 Pull-ups
200 Push-ups
300 Squats
1 mile Run

In memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005.

This workout was one of Lt. Murphy's favorites that he named "Body Armor". Now it is referred to as "Murph" in honor of the focused warrior and great American who wanted nothing more in life than to serve his country and the people that make it what it is.
Partition the pull-ups, push-ups, and squats as needed. Start and finish with a mile run. If you've got a twenty pound vest or body armor, wear it.

At the age of 40, I decided to take control of my life. 2.5 years later I lost 128lbs through clean eating, cardio, and weight lifting. I lowered my cholesterol and got off blood pressure meds. Summer 2013, at the age of 43, I had surgery to remove some of the excess skin from the weight loss. I'm still recovering, but I feel this total lifestyle change is allowing me to finally be who I always was deep down inside. My passion is to help others do the same.
