ink361 Explore the city of Golestan, the capital city of Golestan district, province of Tehran, Iran. Be mesmerized how playful suburban Iranian women are with colors as shown in their hijab (veil) and chemise (blouse) as it matches the natural hue of Tehran's provincial terrain. Just a perfect combination of earth color and tradition.

ink361 This week's Latin America feature goes to the Argentinian photographer @jalvarezcastillo and her trip to Ushuaia, which she told us a little bit about: "This five days trip to "the end of the world" was a surprise present I gave to my boyfriend @jacktheartist just for fan! We are both big fans of photography and Ushuaia surprised us with amazing landscapes and windy weather. This place is as wonderful as the rest of Patagonia: blue cold lagoons, mountains, deers, pinguins and huge trees."

ink361 He lives in the South West part of England, but it feels like the other side of the world to me. Adam (@adampartridge) shows the most amazing views from the coast of Dorset. You can almost hear the waves crashing through the photo. His favorite place to be seems the Old Harry Rocks, which are three impressive chalk formations located at Handfast Point. One of my favorite ones is this one taken at Smallmouth Beach because of it's simplicity and tranquility. Follow Adam for more fantastic shots of the British coast and countryside.

ink361 This stunning photo of the San Francisco Bay Bridge was taken by @galindo.kta.

Jose says, "I was driving to meet up with some friends in North Beach when I suddenly saw a giant body of fog rolling in covering half of the bridge. I made a quick u-turn and sped to get to the other side of the bridge so I won't miss the opportunity to capture this incredible moment."

  •   imranmustafa102 In February 1992, an unprecedented genocide was committed against the Azerbaijani population in Khojaly. This bloody tragedy, which became known as the Khojaly genocide, involved the extermination or capture of the thousands of Azerbaijanis; the town was razed to the ground. Over the night from 25 to 26 February 1992 the Armenian armed forces with the help of the infantry guards regiment No. 366 of the former USSR implemented the seizure of Khojaly - a small town situated in the Nagorno-Karabakh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the total area of 0.94 sq. km. and the population before the conflict of 23,757. The inhabitants of Khojaly remained in the town before the tragic night (about 2500 people) and tried to leave their houses after the beginning of the assault in the hope to find the way to the nearest place populated by the Azerbaijanis. But these plans have failed. Invaders destroyed Khojaly and with particular brutality implemented carnage over its peaceful population. Brutal annihilation of hundreds of blameless in- habitants of Khojaly was one of the most heinous crimes during the armed conflict in and around the Nagorno-Karabakh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Armenian armed forces and foreign military units spared virtually none of those who had been unable to flee Khojaly and the surrounding area. As a result, 613 persons were killed, including 106 women, 63 children and 70 elderly people. 1,275 inhabitants were taken hostage, while the fate of 150 persons remains un- known to this day. In the course of the tragedy 487 inhabitants of Khojaly were severely maimed, including 76 children not yet of age. 8 families were completely wiped out, 25 children lost both parents, and 130 children one of their parents. Of those who perished, 56 persons were killed with especial cruelty: by burning alive, scalping, beheading, gouging out of eyes, and bayoneting of pregnant women in the abdomen. 5d

ink361 Pompey's so-called Pillar in Alexandria, Egypt, stands impressively, defiantly, in the face of history. Though commonly attributed to Pompey, killed in Alexandria during his civil war against Julius Caesar, the massive column was actually dedicated to Diocletian; the inscription is still in situ! The monolithic shaft is almost 30 m high, made of granite from Aswan in Egypt, about 285 tons in weight. Though the famous obelisks the Romans took from Egypt to Rome could weigh more (e.g. obelisks of St. Peter's and St. John Lateran) this column underlines the Romans' presence in and control of Egypt for centuries. It stood in a courtyard in front of the city's famous Hellenistic Serapeum, last rebuilt in 200AD. #meetrome #reconstructedhistory #recycledhistory

ink361 The feed of Singaporean IGer @estuarine is melancholic, but sophisticated. It is futuristic, yet still holds the old characteristics of Asian culture. "The Esplanade Bridge is an iconic feature in a lot of Singaporean's instagram feed. While it's not very fancy, it spans across the Singapore River, and offers panoramic views of the Marina Bay area."
